My first VL I had was a VL formula. Placed a 2.5 inch exhaust with extractors & a pod filter. Made allot of difference(more power/response). But the only down side with the pod filter was the oil in the filter use to burn out the element in the AFM. You might be able to pick up a paper pod filter. If you want to go crazy you could allways Nistune it. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Heres what to do. Give it a good service... take off the throttle body and clean out all the built up carbon. Plugs, filters, fluids etc. Run it on 98 and advance the timing a bit Second hand extractors for $100 2 1/4 inch or 2 1/2 inch exhuast - ebay Convert to manual Punch the cat LSD or mini spooled diff 205 chasers on the back with 40 psi in them. Instant we weather warrior... i used to clutch second in mine and go gutter to gutter down the street for days I used to out run VT Execs with bodys kits of the lights all the time Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah diff gears are good but itll cost a fair bit done at a shop, especially for a p plater... No point doing any work to a 25 spline diff.... Get a VLT diff. But by the time you get the diff, fix all seals, shagged LSD, potentially bent axle and housing from 25 years of skids and such you be better of buying a new diff.... Yeah thats it, 9" with 35 spline axles for the n.a

I had 3.9 gears in my n/a.. makes a difference! Best thing though was good brakes and suspension.. you can drive alot faster if you have those.

Cold air intake helps a bit with power and a bit with economy, one of the best mods I did to my n/a was one of those eBay performance ecu chips. Sounds like bs but it made a huge difference Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Sounds like bs but it made a huge difference All they do is make the car run on cold start permanently... dumping in a shiit load more fuel and making it rich as... you might gain 1-2% power.... Smell your exhaust or check your plugs a month after you 'chipped' it? Any $30 chip off ebay really isnt going to do your car any good.... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
