Listen to your tuner as he might be better with one over the other.

Haltech IS better than microtech. Why don't you find a place to tune your car and ask them what they recommend. That would be smart.

i just put a haltech ps2000 in my car, has more functions then the mircotech. If you are worried about the money put a microtech in as they are more or a basic ecu or put the haltech in and you wont have a problem. Mine has 16 outputs i could nearly run a rocket ship on my ps2000

I had a microtech lt10. Cold starts weren't too bad. Just had to turn the key a couple of times. Had better fuel economy than people said I would.

I bought 86SLVLT's microtech off of him. lt10s, wired it all up myself havent had any dramas with it, i do have a **** cold start but im running 1000cc injectors which dont have the best spray pattern and e85. It will start but sometimes takes a few turns of the key. then i just have to let it warm up for 5-10 mins. besides that i have no complaints and being more of a weekend car im not to fussed. i think if your on a bit of a budget microtech will do everything you need. and like i said i wired mine up myself wasnt to hard. im a qualified mechanic but usually hate electrics/wiring and still found it pretty easy

Yrs ago there was **** all difference, actually people pissed and moaned about microtechs back then, and every haltech i ever saw had way more issues with big injectors etc at idle, i thought they where a glorified Microtech, i woudn't have touched a haltech with a 10 ft pole.. But these days theres no competition, the haltechs blow the microtechs out of the water, Microtech really need to get of there ass and do something new, they are wwaayy behind now selling old **** and still ripping everyone a new asshole if want/need any reconfiguring done..farkin joke.. having said they, they are easy to wire up, never had much problems with cold start, and i still have one on one of my cars. Would i buy a LT10 for a RB30 if i was on a budget with single coil..i probally would. But if i wanted multi coils, a LTX12 or 16 or whatever it is now and all the bells and wistles..no farkin way, id get something else 120 percent.. Depends what your end goals are. cheers darren

I am just after a Ecu to be able to tune of need be. I am aiming for 230-250 max cold start I allready have problems with that at the moment. Everyone have a different opinion I would rather a microtech but I just don't want to waste my money!!!
