Hey guys, couldn't find any other threads on this so thought i'd put it up as I came across it, HDT have released a VE interceptor. They have made it yellow like the iconic VL interceptor which doesn't make much sense as HDT never made the original, nor did the yellow interceptor come out in a V8, with only 10 of the new heritage series made it will be a rare sight out on the road. If they have in fact made this as a tribute to the original interceptor, which I'm not sure they have, it is certainly along way from looking anything similar with a full body kit and momo star wheels. http://www.hdt.com.au/view/heritage-series/interceptor/

wtf, thats borderline offensive If your going to do a tribute car as stated by pauliee make it far closer to the original. I really hope its not based on the vh, k, l yellow bt1's and they just think its a cool name

this is what u get when BROCK is not involved. Not a fan, kind of pointless as i cant see the cops in these things. Its for marketing for guys who like there toys. Real die hards buy the real things I worked on these cars when Peter Champion first introduced the the new generation of HDT's (white VH mock-up and the black v6 at the time ute lol) at TPS Ringwood. He had an open day with some of the best HDTs in AUS "talking 000,200 ks" most arived on the back of trucks. Peter Champion is a die hard himself owning the HDT museum and all the cars in it. he started out collecting old tracktors when he was a kid skipping school to go to auctions. but this well u can guess his target audience id buy the vl mock up and let walkinshaw performance do the rest

Cheers Marty I agree with Marty, i like it because it's different. It's not a matter of making a 'new' interceptor, just a new car inspired by them. However some 19/20'' chasers would've be pretty cool Turismo, someone would have to be an enthusiast to buy a new ve ss/ssv, and then spend what would be at least another 10-20k on it. If r Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

We all have our opinions and no expects anyone to blow smoke up one arse,But when one says rubbish or shyte without driving or viewing the car personaly that to me is tearing it down.I have to say I have been in some of his cars and find them quite exciting,I may not buy one but I do admire what he has done. Cheers Marty ps this just my rant as I like to see people try(millionair or not)And what does it matter if he has a boat ramp for a balcony.Good on him for earning it. Aagin we seem to hate people that have money or succeed??

What i think people are trying to say is, if hes going to bring out an intercepter, go by the original intercepter look. We probly all know its going to be a hell of a car in person, luxury wise. Wont deny that, but what makes it and intercepter? Because it has a intercepter badge and is painted yellow? My point is an intercepter is an ex government owned vehicle with certain vehicle upgrades, known as police packs. This HDT version has nothing to do with the cars true meaning. It isnt even based on a certain model (vk,vl,vn, ect). One thing i may add, why a bonnet scoop? That should be enough from me, wait till Russ (aus880) gets stuck into this thread. Lol Where are ya Russ?

They all look the same, slap a different badge, wheels and some interior highlights and hey! Its a totally different car and worth 10k more. This one obviously has abit more then that and limited edition blah blah blah where only making 10 therefore its worth 100k + Not much of a interceptor in my opinion, more like a modified ss. Love the momo's though!

This the sort of comment I like. And hey it is good(a fair opinion) But think of it this way how would anyone like it if you spent time and money on your beast and then you had someone say Rubbish or ****?.Remember this is a man with a passion for cars.LIKE US!!
