hi my vl was running fine couple days ago, then i thought to install surge tank internal and externals pumps walbro and bosch 044,i took battery out for whole process, and wired up bosch 044 with exsisting wires, so now it will not start, i have checked fuses they are ok i took off fuel line and it is getting fuel,i changed to a new cas but still no spark cranks but wont start,is there anyway ti test the leads? is there anything else why it wouldnt be sparking or starting thanks

Fuel pumps priming? Take coil lead off and see for spark? Or grab a spare spark plug and put the spark plug against a metal part while lead is on and check for spark, if u have spark l reckon you might not have fuel

I have a full tank and I have takin off the main fuel line and it is pushing fuel out

I had the same problem fuel was coming out of the main hose but not the injectors, try putting fuel in from the throttle body and see if it cranks over

Got the fuel hoses on the right way? Feed goes direct to rail, not the regulator. Seems unlikely that it's a spark problem when you've been messing with the fuel system....

i have takin out spark plugs and have tryed to crank it over with another plug in it to see if any spark but none, yea fuels line are the right way around,is there any way to test any of this with multimeter like all the sensors, for voltage?

You could do a continuity test on the leads but couldnt see all six die at same time same with the plugs , so are the plugs wet them?? easy way to test sensors is by blink test at ecu

Have you tried checking the coil signal and the coil it self

Make sure you didn't knock any wiring on the reverse polarity relay behind the battery. This supplies power to the injectors and ecu. You should have 12v on one of the injector pins all the time regardless of key position.

Could be your power transistor. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If hes fouling plugs must be getting plenty of fuel that why i was thinking coil or cas but hard to say easier to do ecu self check

No idea how to do a self check on haltec, i'd guess need to hook up laptop or hand controller

If you have a timing light. hook it up and see if its sparking near 15 deg on number 1. Sounds like new plugs are in order now. Any chance your ECU lost its Calibration whilst battery was disconnected?

i seem to think its the actual plug that connects into the cas for i used a multimeter to trace it to that went fomr battery 12v webt to (i think its the ignition modual)and got 12v then to the end of the main coil lead and got 12v and also got 12v from the end of the spark plug, but in sayin that i didnt get any voltage from the plug that goes into cas, even when cranking? think this could be the problem? thanks

no worries i will try it, could the problem the pumps continue to prime, therefore it doestnhave enough fuel pressusre so no signal is coming from cas

Fuel pump prime is controlled by the ecu should only prime for bout 10 sec i think then stop untill cranked, by any chance do you have the haltec in kick panel cos it wouldnt be the first one to get wet from a leaking front window ive never seen this but read bout it happening on this site
