for all you mining boys on here as most are aware im looking for work on a mine site. im currently undergoing my HR license and senior first aid. i have my whitecard and also doing my working at heights. main positions im looking for dump truck operator or drillers offsider i basicly just want you mine boys to name some companies to contact. i have contacted barrick gold norsman gold barminco griffin coal rio tinto bhp swick mining sanderson drilling ausdrill and a few more i cant think of off top of my head if you could name some companies to help me out that would be great

they both dont have entry level roles all want years experience

Alcoa have trainee mobile opperator jobs going now best thing is you dont have to do night shift as a trainee and its local plus they run electric drive trucks and most your big minning companies (bhp,rio)want people that have exp on them they also train you on the diggers thats were the opperator money at

Cloud break mine is going to have 4 new mt4400s driving around soon. Probably early next year. So hit them up. If your doing your working at heights, may aswell do your Ewp aswell, as you can't do one with out the other. Also when you get onto the mine site you have to then be passed out again on the machines. The certs that you attain usually get you in the door, but that's it. The most important thing I've learnt is that if you act like a wanker theyll send you straight back. Happened to a bloke I was working with, no questions they just said, get on the next plane.

Thiess also have a lot of the big contracts for BHP construction sites. They would be worth a contact.

im in kambalda/kalgoorlie mate there plenty of mine sites you could jump into, lanfranchi mines, ST Ives, Lightning Nickel, KBD Haulage, GBF.........

nah mate gbf is a mining company its own, they r on st ives lease, st ives is a massive gold lease, they are expanding bigtime in the next year or so. my mate came over with no previous experience in mining and got a job starting with 75k a year upwards, id give st ives a call mate they aare the biggest minessite in kambalda......
