Just wondering what some of the quick vl boys are running for there 60 foot mark. Was at heathcote yesterday running my r31 for it's first proper outing. Was running mid 9s at anywhere from 144-153mph and 1.5 in the 60 foot. Not sure weather I'm on track or not.
Thanks
Sunday just gone was it's first proper outing and was running 9.6s @ 144 a couple of passes, but I broke a flex plate so that stopped me. I ran 153mph @ 10 sumfin earlier but i coocked it off the line, and was on the rpm limiter for a bit too. Running 26x10" slick but there 2.5 years old
The 60's arn't spectacular but not that bad.. specially considering the slicks are old.
I think the fastest of the VL's without getting too serious in the ass end go 1.3's. You would probably get that with fresh slicks.
Ok sweet. Sounds like some new rubber for me then. And I think maybe some better setting up of the rear end. It's still got stock shocks n springs
Thanks for that
The ones running high 9's are usually catching a high 1.4x 60 footer. You're running a big mph though, the car is going to boogie!
Got any pics or details?
On my best run of the day was 9.62@144.5 mph, but I had alot of mid track traction issues.I felt it was horrible. The car earlier that day went 153 mph on the rev limiter
Thanks mate. I hope so. Lol. I've got pics n stuff but don't no how to post em. Just a single cam rb30 running a , 2 speed, 9" and all the usuall goddies

Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
best mine went at heathcote was 1.4998 with 100% stock rear end. Since its been mini tubbed have only seen a 1.46 out of it although its just coilovers and no 4 link etc. pretty standard
look at your ass end mate, we found on one of our VL's that making it stiffer on the drivers side (shocks) we went from 1.47 down to 1.40 just from making the car move forward instead of squatting down. Also can be needing a bigger tyre, that helps too
