Has anyone had the fluctuating load sensor woes with these things? Just made 303kw@ 17psi, but the mixture would change from pull to pull causing it to go lean and rattle when everything was perfect the time before. Its an LT12, X6 etc. Stock engine, GT35 and wade cam. Its looking like a good wheel chock at this rate.

No log, when it went lean we quickly threw 6% in the mixture trim and it was somewhat close....its a big change, will cost me an engine. Its still sitting on the dyno, might log a run tomorrow.

What caused it to shoot lean? MAP sensor craziness? or voltage drop from the altenator?

Could be something to do with the crank angle sensor. It may be on its way out and having difficulty getting an accurate reading, especially at higher rpm. If serious engine I would be looking to instal an external referance off the crank or cam wheel and disregard the disributor CAS.

mm i had a prob similar to this but was more the timing fluxuating..went to a crank trigger and fixed it all

Hasnt blown the engine, but its not ideal. No good at the track like this. It was changing dramatically just as it was coming onto boost, the mixture would be lean by over a full point and tuner said it was rattling. Its coming on strong with the .82 rear and making 680nm at the engine. Still stock n/a engine, untouched apart from cam and springs. Cant see the crank sensor causing the issue as its tempramental from pull to pull, with perfect mixtures for most of the runs but on the odd occasion this problem would occur.

Maybe check the map sensor line that the ECU is getting a good signal. Also TPS switch may be tempermental and can cause ecu to flick between map points. Possibly check your earths also, but bit of elimination process I guess.

Log a run. If the Load/boost signal is fluctuating then put a very small restrictor in your map sensor line. This will help the fluctuations. If you are getting timing jitter, and this is very easy to test. Lock the timing in the microtech, Grab a timing light, rev the engine slowly through 2k to 6k and watch the timing. It will jump all over the place. If this is your issue, Put a crank trigger on it. We deal with these on a daily basis, and you wont get them perfect, but you may get a respectable level of tune. And they are useless at wheel chocks. Too flat, most things just roll straight over em

hyped6 what size restrictor do you recommend to put in the map sensor line? We need to do with with my brothers car is the signal is all over the place
