Hey guys this is my GTS that I have recently purchased, I have been trying to find the time to start a thread on the old girl so today I went out a got a few shots of it (not really happy with them but you get the idea) let us know what ya think cheers

Car: 1997 HSV VS GTS (Build Number 352)
Colour: Panther Mica
Engine: 5.7L stroker
Gearbox: 6 Speed Manual brand new PBR RMP heavy duty clutch
Engine mods: Freshly rebuilt 355 stroker, factory 355 Harrop crank, bored out 40 thou over with Hypertecic pistons running 10.5 to 1 compression, Stage 3 Heatseaker hydraulic cam shaft, port and polished heads, 70mm throttle body and a JP high volume oil pump.
Exhaust: HPC Coated Pacemaker extractors into a twin 2 1/2 inch system
Power: Around 270rwhp ATM going in for another tune in the next few weeks
Suspension: Super low King springs in the front and SSSL in the back
Diff: Hydratrak with 3.45 diff gears
Brakes: Standard with painted calipers
Interior: Standard GTS
Wheels: AMG 19 inch chrome
Stereo: Pioneer head unit with some subs and splits
Future mods:
GTS 352 Number plates (in the mail already )
HSV Foot pedals
Lifting the ass end to SSL's
Set of 3 spoke rims
Single plane manifold
Few Gauges
Trip to the panel beaters for a general tidy up

ay man nice car how cum it has a vr engine cover? the only thing id change is id put the standard wheels back on and leav it full original part from that its perfect good work mate love it

im with the above post, original polished tri spokes would finish this car off nicely.

GHM095 these are the VR/S covers but they have been polished the original 215 green ones did not come with the car but as i am going to change the manifold i'm not too fussed that they're not original, as for the wheels i could not agree with you guys more i brought a set of tri's today just need to have them polished

very nice GTS mate. as everyone has said try hunt down some original tri spokes and if your gonna leave those engine covers for a while id put the 215 sticker over the 5000 emblem. ive built a similar combo to yours but with twin throttles and a solid cam. torque monsters

Deffinitely one of the best if not the best looking HSVs from factory

AVGTS: If you dont mind me asking how much power did u make? i am tossing up whether to go twin throttle of single plane?

19-08-10, 08:07 GMT+10#18 i took it once but the shortened shocks and lowered springs were killing my launch, aswell as the manual and IRS. i was launching on ET streets at about 5500rpm and it still bogged off the line and by the time the clutch was released i was back at 3000rpm.
anyway it went 12.7 at 110mph but it was on a hot summer day aswell. i think with proper suspension and a cold day it has a 12.0-12.2 in it no worries. a guy i know with the same combo as me which made the same power in a solid rear end VS and proper suspension went 12.1 at 117mph
