This is mine, 200 kays east of Laverton on the edge of the Great Victorian Desert. It's an RB30 manual and it's a total dog, it's been rolled and the body is made out of 2 different cars and an acre of scrap sheets. When we got it home the back windows fell out of their rusted out frames, so we cut panel out of a fridge door and pop riveted them in - problem solved! However, it still gets out there and back and was dirt cheap so I don't mind. Even though it's a bit rough looking on the outside the chassis and mechanicals are all there. It's a good old bus, I'd back the GQ/RB30 anywhere, fantastic cars. The best thing about 4WDs is you more often than not make them worse by modifying them, so you don't get too tempted. thats red gu is offtap man, wats peoples thought on gq shorties?? im tryin to get my hands on one but they seem hard to get did they come with rb30's??

GQ shorties are so much smaller inside. They look tuff but that's pretty much it, people want much more for them and they are way way less practical. You'll think it's cool when it's sitting in your driveway, but as soon as you pack up for a trip with your mates and there's no room for anything you'll regret it. If you just want a 4WD to thrash in the bush and have fun get a suzuki sierra. Weld the diffs, lift the body 2 inches and put some 30in muddies on it and it will go further, cost less and be way way more fun. I used to have one and it was the best/cheapest fun I've ever had on 4 wheels, you can't go wrong with them.

gm tank i got a gq shortie black mav with a tb42 gas research turbo i use to have a gq wagon and i reacon if u dont care for carrin ppl the shorty is heeps beta cose its much smaller mine if i got over 10 for my patrol its urs
