Included in the carsales ad description for a VL BT1 is the term
"Gold D-(Detective Car) "
I assume he's referring to the paint code on the plate in the pic
Sorry but that does not mean it was a 'detectives' VL Turbo BT1
here we go

yeah i think your almost 100% on that one.
just a thought, but these other bt1 plated vl's (non absynty yellow), i dont believe that theyre actual "detectives" cars, i reckon they just might be like a company car they were given.
correct me if im wrong anyway.
When i read dulux i think someone has gone down to mitre 10 and just selected a tub of outdoor paint and thought it was pretty spot on because the car will be outdoor's :P
its a nice car , i love that colour, too bad its been resprayed and had badges removed ... not worth 9 k IMO
non the less D does not mean detectives car lol
lol im pretty sure the owner of that is on here.
remember seeing for sale on here at least over a year ago.
as far as bt1 myths go its like when i had my old one and the guy i bought it off tried to convince me it was the cheif commissioners car lol... no worrys buddy
one for the memory books ...
"see mate its still got the skinny detective light on the passengers drive pillar from when the coppers had it " ..... what a joke lol
mind u it was just a 20 buck super cheap auto light lol
when it comes to bt1's it always bellonged to this commisioner/detective/officers car ...... standard story line when buying one lol

cheif commissioners of the northern subz
yeh amazing how the 'owners name' in the handbook makes people believe that the commish drove a VL Turbo
I've seen a VR BT1 V6 advertised claiming the same rubbish
