Hi, need some help was coming home turned a corner then went to put my foot down and my calais just died in the ass every time i continued to put my foot down it was like it was hitting rev limiter at 1500 revs... i got home finally at 60k with just putting a little pressure on accelrator but i have no clue.... could it be something to do with the gas system on my car or could it be the auto? any help appreciated

check your AFM if its playing up it wont let u rev past bout 2000rpm and the car will splutter and act like a s1ut... try unplugging the afm and if the car sitll runs the same u know ur afm has died

highly unlikely its the gas system check all the regular electrical sh1t, afm, cas, dizzy cap etc chances are its the afm or afm wiring suss this thread and have a bit more of a search, its a farely common problem so there will be heaps of threads around http://calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=71798

the afm is the air flow meter... its the thing which is connected to your air box... ask forza said, have a quick little search and have a read...and hopefully u'll suss out the problem and learn more about the car at the same time

was the car actually running on gas at the time? can you rev the car in neutral? have you tried opening the throttle by hand?

every time it gets close to 1500 it jumps around, the car was runnin on gas at the time it does the same thing in neutral and i tried revving it from under the bonnet and same thing it gets to the point were it stalls if i do it to much or hold it flat out

put a pic up of ur engine bay so we can see what gas system ur car is running. if it idles and wont rev sound like its getting really lean. just a long shot but how much gas is in the tank???? u would be surprised how many time a faulty guage causes this problem !!!?!!!!!???!

as above.. my dads old 1fz-fe running on dual fuel did the exact same thing.. was the gas converter that would freeze, just ended up replacing it.. was a b2 but i doubt the rb would run them as their a small engine
