18" Sub lol
I'm pretty sure the car is going to fall apart before the is even getting tested
Edit: It is in a Vl, It wouldn't fit vertically so I had to put it on that angle
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
1000wrms, 89db sens, 22m excursion one way.
Pretty reasonable stats if you ask me.
Its running at 1 ohm
I know its probably not even the best sub for the money, but It was really a ****s and giggles thing.
That amp had the rca terminals fall out twice under warrenty, other than that it's quite impressive.
I have some build pics:
I like taking progress pics

nice work man looks good, one quick Q:
is that a jaycar amp looks like one,
iv been interested in these for a while iv heard there really cheap but go really good.
i think i read a while back somewhere in car audio australia that they come in the top 3 for monoblock and stereo amps out doing brands like pioneer and soundstream when it comes to bang for buck, and not too far behind in over all bang too.
let me know your thoughts on your amp.
once again nice work with the install
cheers matt

Great for any road going install, you'd be wanting more for a show car or spl monster though lol
It comes with a sub-sonic filter and remote level control which is pretty handy.
Mine is the 100wrms model but I think you can only get monoblock from jaycar with over 1000wrms for $400. In my opinion, very much morth the money.

I think the one in that video is the model below mine, mines is the IXL series, that one is the M series.
I got it from www.affordabledrivers.com.au (http://www.affordabledrivers.com.au)
They were $250 at one point but due to recent financial turmoil they are currently going for $320 which is still pretty good value. you don't get a familiar brand name but essentially the same build quality. (or at least that's what I'm lead to believe)
Thanks for the kind words guys

Maybe because it was bolted to the side of a sub box?
no, because these RCA cables "clip" in so to speak and when I tried to pull the cables out it pulled the terminal out too.
Mainly because the terminal was never soldered in but it is now.
i wouldve thought anything that big would just give slopyy **** bass, but the youtube vid sounds alright, what is the sound difference bewtween that and say a 12"?

That Vid shows you how to carpet a box. It Cost me about $50 to carpet it.
I can't really comment on SQ so far because I haven't had my front speakers in (nearly there) so I have just been listening to test tones. All I can say is that it drops off a bit early but that might have just been me LPFing to low.
But from other reports on Mobile Electronics Australia they are a pretty tight sounding woofer
It works for me, but try this.
