check the caliper retraction with a crow bar and the caliper off the car, this will confirm if there is pressure loss or lack of vacum, more likely they just need an overhaul.
so its been a while and i think i have found the problem....the boost pressure is causing them to stay on. has anyone had this problem as how do i fix it?
any one else done this upgrade and had similar problems
ok finally figured out that the vacum is pressing the pedal down by itself, how do i fix this? cant take vacum away as the pedal will be too hard to use
why what you got? its not much but would like less
but its a bit tricky getting the ballance just right, lot to long or not too short if you know what im talking about
u've changed the booster and master aswell right? if u havent set yourself enuff free travel the brakes will stick after a few depresses of the pedal. you want about 1-2 inches i would say
i dont think that vacuum would be the problem
There should be an adjustable pushrod between the booster and the master(bolt and locknut). It should be adjusted so that u have about 1 - 2 inches of freeplay at the pedal before the brakes take up. If the freeplay is insuffecient the piston in the master cyl will not retract far enough for the fuid to escape back to the resevoir
nah none of the vl or the vlt boosters are adjustible but you cleared that up thanks.why was it that when the vacum line was taken off(when brake were locked on) they released instantly? im sure that the vacume slightly makes the push rop push or rest in the m/c enought to hold then locked on
