yeah mate stock vl with all the bolt on's done and a carby retune with a slight bit of head porting and 3 angle valve grind..

my vn bt1 had 151rwkw with just exhaust, intake, 3.9s, shiftkit. No other mods.

my engine going into the hz is an injected vs ss 5L 5speed, hm headers,blue top injectors,148,000kms old and it made 169.7rwkw. standard everything. have a dated dyno sheet to prove. making that power is easy with a manual, auto you will need an extra grand or so.

a half decent head and cam job will make 170-210rwkw

my injected 5l made 167rwkw with just a freshen up and a 286 cam

my mate only got 170rwkw with a 355 in it witch is crap if you guys getting it with not much mods, may be cam to bigg for it..

Its got more done to it than you know about then. Exhaust might add 5kw... but injectors wont do much... even if you get it tuned to suit. Something is done in there for an extra 50ish rwkw!

now ur mate has the 355, wasnt it ur 355 a few weeks ago u were carrying on about problems with it? another 16yr old slapper on CT, this place is full of em! and PROGMH, keep in mind his is manual so the figures would read a bit higher, and trent my mises had a VN calais SV standard that ran 14.3's, spun 158rwkw when we had it, and 155rwkw on another dyno when a mate of mine had it, only had usual exhaust, extractors, cai. (shift kit) thats the best figure ive ever got out of one of them and ive had a few.

a cold air intake doesnt do anything on a dyno

You 'MIGHT' get a flat 15 with auto and diff done but its pushing it. are u kidding or what? ive seen a heap of VN 5.0's with decent auto's and diff's run around the 14.5, 14.4, 14.3 mark over the years, and owned a few myself. and i know for a fact that the car i was talking about in my last post spun that on 2 different dyno's and it ran the time at calder park, pretty sure another user on this forum ran a 14.5 or so in it as well when he owned it (TT355)

How do you explain the gain in 40rwkw with just an exhaust system? lol. Must be a pretty good system. Either way its just a tuning tool - it just seem right.

maybe both dyno's were a bit happy but who knows, i know the 1/4 mile times i said are what ive seen done so stockers must be running under 15.5's maybe close to flat 15's who knows, then with 4.11 and a decent shift kit, and exhaust they pick up that bit more on the 1/4. but ive seen it done many times thats all im saying

genie header, twin exhaust, CAI, K and N filter, bosch 040 fuel pump, ported heads, wade cam topgun 8.0mm leads, in an auto made 170rwks

a mate of mine made 160RWKW more than once with vr 5l manual with extractor, exhaust, cold air and a tune made that power on more than one dyno and more than once had the plates ASIFU1, has been featured in street machine and they made up heaps of **** then only put a vortech, cooler, injectors and made 330RWKW, then he went crazy and made over 700 hp at the wheels with a **** fuel system and would only rev to 4000
