Hey guys, thought I'd post pics and stuff here as I went through doin things to my vl i just bought. atm I'm installing remote central locking, gettin there, was a pain in the ass this morning front door wouldn't open lol just after I fixed it lastnight, what happens is when its locked, i unlock the door, it wont open, I have to manually open with a screwdriver poppin door lock from inside the door, if I dont lock it it opens and shuts fine, it's just when I lock and unlock it ,it wont open, I'll get it.. Pics up for it soon...

sounds like the actuator is too close.(the metal bar is too long) holding it just far enough over to piss you off

got the central locking working after I found out I had the 2 front actuators around the wrong way, only put them the other way 1st cause it fitted in better, anyway I got 'em in. Did some small work on motor, cleaned the throttle body out and when I looked at the back of the motor I found some fresh oil around the back, checked it out and the rocker cover wasn't even screwed down tight on 1 side! So I took it off cleaned it and put new gasket back in. Still gotta a lot more to do, 1st thing I am gonna do is get a roady report and see what else needed for that, (still aint got it in my name yet). Oh yeah, I took it out today for a run (had vt in gettin new suspension bush kits fitted), and I noticed when I go to take off from idle it wanted to stall, was only a little, but then went fine, (does blow a lil bit smoke 1st startin) any ideas there guys? Thanks.

Was going to go turbo but not this time, next project. Has extractors and performance chip goes pretty hard. I have a buyer already for this VL, $6K she is going for! Colour is going to be Hot Pink (not the pink you can see in above pic on rocker cover, that was a mistake.) Pink in pic below. Still gotta do parcel and boot (sand paint the fibregalss) got some pics of door trims up. Gettin there.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Wow nice buy for $1,000. First of, is there a technical article on remote central locking for the VL Commdore? If not, you should do so would be great. Secondly, not a fan of the body-kit sorry dude, but I like the door skins mate. Good work, and good luck with it. Keep us updated.

Thanks guys. I am pretty sure their is a tech guide for remote central locking on here, think I read through some. Yeah black vinyl roof, dash, center console, carpet and doors. Seats will just be hello kitty pink to match the exterior. Yes a chick is buyin, she is over 40 :0 Finished sanding and gave it a real good clean, air hosed all dust off and washed with soapy water and then wax an grease remover. Ready for masking and primer tomorrow. Put some more pics up soon. Here's a pic of the 17" chrome mags going on with new tread to come. Other is a 6x9 encased in foam with some black vinyl, this is a side wall for in the boot the other side in boot will house the amp going in. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hi, just mounted/screwed on metal rod and then screwed on actuator, make sure you put them on the right way I put them around the wrong way 1st and it unlocked instead of locked. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

When i first started spray painting, it took me so long to mask lol Now i can mask a whole car in very little time.
