Was wondering what sort of $$ a proven 8sec VL would fetch? assuming paint is good, engine bay all good, interior in good nick and have all the good bits on it and a proven 8sec car, not a time bomb if a clean 10sec calais can fetch 20K then im guessing an 8sec calais could fetch high 20s-30K?? what do people think? like, how much do you think lowey's QWIKVL would sell for if he wanted to sell it? cheers Troy

yeah i was thinking the price would be up there still cheap for the amount of $$ and r&d that would have gone into the car to get it running 8s

vl+8sec=40gz plus minimum atleast an up goodluck 25 or 30 or evan 35 for 8secvl, my bro got offred 30gz for his bt1 an hasnt evan run a number yet but its a got a rajab racing 9sec package.

anything streetable that runs in the 8 sec zone with a paint job and clean trim should fetch over 30k and soemthing with a 4 link and tubs would be fetching 35+ i would think depends on how its done

mate i think if its streetable its got to be worth over 30k esp with a paint job an sum nice trim, i highly i doubt you will get1 for that much, as if you were going to build one im sure 30k will maybe get you 3/4 of the way. ive seen only one for sale an it was for 40k an that was pannic an he took it off the market an now it has buyers for over 50k mark. ive seen 9sec vls fetch 30k to 35k clean nice trim an paint. but you never know it can happen an if there is one for 30k an im ready il be in for the kill Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Even though it costs more to build than what they are selling for, there really isnt that many people wanting to purchase someones second hand drag car, for $40,000. It's alot of money. Theyre only worth it if theyre selling for that, not what theyre asking. Remember Igor's car, spent over $100,000 and no one would buy it, even though it was roughly the same cost as a normal XR6T! Hard to find buyers in that market.

Mates car has $15k just in the cage/chassis/tub/ass work..... We were discussing this last night actually and he'd be asking up towards $50k for his....scoff all you want...you wont build anything near the quality of that car with all the top quality big name parts on it....oh and it hasnt ran an 8 yet...but 9.02@155 is pretty god damn staunch.

40, 3/4 of 40k is 30k lol
