Hey guys, Winters coming up, and it's pretty cold.. Hopefully get some good snow. Anyway, who here snowboards? Who skis? I snowboarded a few years back, and got the basics, but havent done it for ages! I'm keen to get back up the mountain and back into it this year. Where do you guys go to snowboard? How long have you been doing it etc? Just general snowboard chit chat, we've got a bodybuilding thread, and a few others like this. I think this could be good, hopefully meet some VIC guys and girls up the mountain at some stage this year Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i used to snowbard years ago until i broke my wrist doing a 360 aerial lol. well not in the air but actually at walking pace. got caught in the ice groove after they groomed "wombat" at buller and snapped my wrist. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i was a skier from about age 4 or 5 through to until i was about 14, my parents took me at least once a season every year, by the time i was 14 i was a very competent skiier but the snowboarding epidemic was just firing up so i jumped ships, i'm 21 this year and have been snowboarding since, never looked back.. i enjoy it so much, i missed one season (last year) and can't wait to get back down, usually we road trip and stay in jindi and board thredbo (i find perisher has to many up hills for a boarder, but it's a better skiing resort), or sometimes stay at my family's lodge in thredbo village but being there kind of takes the whole experience away because it's just so nice lol, i dunno i really enjoy the cheap dorms in jindi cos you've got like 8 people in a room so everyone is always keen to kick on, sink piss and smash billies haha Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That's half the fun of it all, the lifestyle etc while your there.. my mate is gonna teach me how to board properly again, im hanging for it!

Yer probably mate, unless i make the road trip up that way.. trying to get the mrs keen to learn how to snowboard too, you should head down to buller.. just cos i cbf driving to NSW LOL

True they are longer and wider than NZ too, but they are super flat... nice town though!

im going to new zealand in august for skiiing for my mates bucks party,i cant ski,i cant snowbord but let me asure you that no girl is safe,i will hound each and every one of them till one says "yes **** me you big ****" good day

been skiing for 4 years, always at falls. Last year sucked ****. There were guys skiing in just t-shirts ffs lol) Lucky they have decent snow making. yeh he's a soft**** haha caught an edge goin flat out down a black run... knocked himself out Nobody skiing past stopped... very ordinary He hasnt snowboarded since and he better not soft out this year, gotta get back on that horse!

My girlfriend got me into boarding a few years ago. I dont think ive ever been so sore after the first time i went. Just about spent the whole day falling over and getting up! Went to Queenstown last year for 10 days and had some great days over there. Can now board at a good level. Cant wait to get up to bulla with every man and his dog this year if there's snow
