that closed thread reminded me. ive heard from a few people that, in vic at least, you can no longer get custom plates with the word "JET" in it... can anyone unequivocally confirm or deny this? cause i was thinking of getting JET something something for my astra.

Yep, My mate went to get FAST73 for his 'fastback' torana hehe, and they said no. Alot of controversy was had a few years ago when there was a crash and the news crews came and a car involved had the plates DRAGYA. (from memory)

in nsw you can get anything virtually,but they state that it can be recalled at anytime if deemed offensive.

i got VLT J3T like 2 weeks ago. No problems with that.

i find this hard to believe. a friend just got 'lopimp' (something like that). originally Vic roads rejected the plates, but he contested it and ended up receiving them... these plates are going on a gold (dont know what year) cadillac with the roof shaved off :P... will be awesome when its done

i never had any problems getting my plates CNRYB-8....... a guy i know even got XBACON
