Hey guys hope i put this in the right area but im considering selling my vl berlina 5spd manual. I have been thinking about selling it before as it needs alittle bit of work and id rather buy a car that does not need work done to it but ye 2 mates from school have offered to buy my car and wanted to know how much it would be worth to people who know abit about holden vls anywayz the picture of my vl is in my avator or display box the mods are has 12months rego which i put on a few weeks ago so rego till 6th august 2007 its a 1986 berlina 5spd manual Has 17inch chrome mags with new tyres on back Has 2 and ahalf inch exhaust system from cat back Has a reco motor which was done a while ago but i brought it off my mates vl Has got 179,000kms on the clock Has custom numberplates on the car to Has also solex locks installed on car Has full sony xplode system with sony xplode sub etc Has a 5inch monster tacho autometer autogauge that ive just brought silver face Has wooden steering wheel Has blue gearnob and gearnob housing Has cold air induction on it Has sports air filter on it 2 " Pannel not pod" Bad things Paint is abit faided on roof and boot and has like lil peeling marks on left quater but the paint actually does not look that bad, but ive seen alot of vls with faiding paint alos Carpet inside is in not that good nick but heard you can get carpets for very cheap Has been a very good car to me with it running very good just serviced it last week and everything is running good just wanted to know how much i should sell it for if i consider selling it also may want to trade or get a smaller car so can people tell me how much it is worth cheers dez

I dont know that you would like what I will tell you. But if your paint is **** and your interior is rooted, what is there really left to the car? If you wrecked it, it might be worth more than selling as a whole. Manual - 400 Wheels - 4-700 Motor - 200+ depending I could be wrong someone might look at it and go wow. But an N/A isnt really worth a lot and the 2 major things ppl look for you have told me are rooted.

Mate I've got a Berlina wagon and the car yard 2 years ago offered me $2000. I told him to shove it. There in caryards here for around 1500-2000 max. Honestly man it's not worth squat.

Fact is, no matter what you do to an N/A the value of the car will never appreciate.

I would say around 4K-4.5K to be honest. The only N/A's i've seen that are more then this are Calais's and they fetch about $5000-6500.
