Hey all , i just bought fibreglass calais eyelids and side eyelids to make my normal vl a calais only difference is they dont popup, i dont have the funds to invest in buying a whole front end including motors..so this was my alternative...has anybody else come across fibreglass eyelids? One question, do they need to be primered? theyre black..and the guy selling them at the wreckers said to primer it and i asked him with what and he said not sure lol.. Any help would be appreciated.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

nah just did the holes and fitted it lol..drilling the h0les was alot of work actually..it was annoying trying to get it to fit straight.. But other then that they look fine.. my car came with stock calais wheels so it actually looks like a genuine calais :P.. Will i need to purchase the middle bit between the rear lights? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

does anyone know if you can get defected on the eyelids not popping up? coz wouldnt that stop the lights working properly? i want one of these fibreglass calais fronts for my car like BIG-PSI's with no lines in it so it all looks like one big piece, but i dont know if its legal or not if the eyelids dont popup
