ok i would like some tips/advice on how to prepair mi car for a burnout comp just little things i can do from stopping it over heat or something its an auto any tips/hints/advice will be greatly appreciated.
and also i want to keep it roadworthy and safe legall
would a lsd be a good idea ?
soak tires in oil . they will smoke more. more points lol
lsd will work ok. although its limited slip. so doesnt mean it will spin twins constantly . lsd or a spool would work wonders.
all cars over heat doin burnouts coz they are reving way too much for too long.
do big loops when doin the skid . atleast it will give it some air.
wasnt paying attention to what i wrote. not with. or.

Are you for real? Wtf is a LSD with a spool? It's one or the other mate.
Either an LSD Centre or a spooled centre, go 28 spline if you can for that bit of extra strength.

A car doing a burnout at idle will still overheat as theres no movement of air through the radiator.
Lmao @ "LSD with a spool"!!
hook up thermos to a switch so u can run em on full blast... Also a good coolant wood be eccential.. not to mention that putting a LSD in is not cheap and they can be damaged/screwed aswell by doin burnouts...my advise: do left hand donuts donuts in ur single wheeler. that way u will sorta get both wheels spinning.. or just keep doin burnouts untill the single wheeler starts stuffin up and starts to limo.. HEHE like my car.. beein through 2 NA diffs so far.. hehe
Good Luck

do a trick ive done ina comp
get another washer bottle out of another car (i used XE falcon) and hook it up, with a like going along the top front of the radiator, plug the end, and put TINY holes along it, so there is a very fine mist to the radiator of water... brings the temps down just that touch

Shouldnt be much... i dont think.. If its the wiring only it should be around 50 bucks im guessin.. But if u want him to fit the fans and all, it would be much more no doubt..
There is a tech article with step by step guide on how to install Twin AU thermo fans on a VL... take a look in the tech articles section...

Make sure all fluids are changed, New filters, And topped up to correct level.
Includes the diff, tranny, motor and run straight water in the radiator.
Get yourself a spool, LSD's don't last, Or if you have single wheeler weld up the centre if your poor.
Hook up a linelock on the rear brakes a simple solenoid from a old LPG conversion will do it and cost you next to nothing if you know how to hook it all up. So you can ride the brakes on the front for more control and the rear brakes will be not be working, A must for a N/A stocker.
Run a tranny cooler maybe even hook up 2 coolers, Heat will be your enemy and you want to try a make the car run as cool as it possibly can, But all burnout cars run hot, Hence no air flow.
If it's going to be a regular burnout comp car get the exhaust modded so it pops out just before the rear wheel maybe try and get a twin outlet system made,Maybe hard to do on a 6 powered car alot easier on a V8, The exhaust will blow more smoke out making the burnout seem bigger than it is.
Take off your rear bumper and plastic moulds, A steel belted radial will smash and slice to pieces when it blows aparts.
Another trick I have used is lube up your rear quarter panels with some vaseline I have copped **** before from scrutiners about the vaseline , sort of protects the paint but main thing makes cleaning up molten rubber easier.
And lastly don't drive beyond your abilitys, If your car cannot perform get off don't risk being a **** head and smashing your car.
And watch the temp gauge, And keep revs sensible genrally 5,500rpm is ok for 3 minutes any higher is asking for a rebuild.

Just out of curiosity why just water?
You can buy 25 spline mini-spools on Ebay for $88.

my advice would be don't bother entering a burnout comp with a single spinner Most burnout pads aren't wide enough to pull of a single legger full circle... not even the one at wsid haha
Also don't bother with 'good coolant'. All coolant does is stop corrosion

Coolant also increases the boiling point.
