Thats a nice increase. How much did you pay for the cam? Was it only the cam that made it from 97rwkw to 115rwkw. And what other mods do you have? I'm thinking of getting one soon.

I'm thinking of getting one soon. Re-grinds are about $110. Then you have to machine the lifter cradles, probably looking at $50 to $100 for both cradles. Usually couple of hours to install. Downside to large cams is that you get a lot more rocker noises but that's the price ya pay for more power. Cheers, Joel.

Fuel economy is the same for long trips on highway but you use more around town..but not much more. joel.

I've actually got a spare manual ecu at home and have hooked this up to see the difference. Probably only a couple of kilowatts extra with the chip. *5 speed *Press bent extractors with 3" Hi-flow cat. *Then 2/1/2" mandrel pipe to the first straight thru muffler, then 2/1/4" press bent pipe over the rear axle and then into another 2/1/2" hot dog style resonator. Cheers, Joel.

So the head needs to come off?

Ok. Well i've got 5 speed, extractors, stock cat, mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust wth a hotdog reso aswell, XF throttle body and going to be doing the CAI in the next week or so. So we should be seeing around the same amount of power as each other?

I'm thinking of rebuilding the head on my R31 and while its off I may aswell port it, fit a bigger cam XF TB and CAI. It already done a 15.9 STOCK! Wouldn't mind a low 15. Looks like a good cam you got there Joel. What is the cam grind worth by itself? I can do most of the work myself besides the machine work.

Have you lost any low down power? Sometimes with cams it's either a hit or miss, but i'm not to sure if the .283" is mild or large on a 3.0L.

If it isn't you will find your cold start idle to be low. I swapped my AAC valve for a series 2 AAC valve (the one with the little spring inside it) and it works a treat. Get 1100rpm cold starts then it drops back to 750rpm once warm. However, your idle will still be rough. Cheers, Joel.
