was just watching my "Powercruise #4" dvd and it looks like a mad as event
i rekon there should be something over here in w.a like that
could have it up at barbagello raceway
for those of you that arent familiar with powercruise, it consists of
power burnouts (straight line)
burnouts
cruising/ carving up around the racetrack
drift
drags
dyno
soundoff
show n shine
saturday nite events (in my powercruise #1 dvd they have chick mud wrestling and wet t-shirt)
theres probly other events that im forgetting
I think its an awse idea. it would definately be an event that will take off. Take Motorvation 4 example. That brings in huge crowds. I even make the 4hr trip up to see it. Happens to b the only event i go up 2 perth 4 because i know its a great event. Plus it will bring a great range of variety vehicles to it. Plus its a great way to open ppls eyes into other aspects of motoring. Ive personally neva seen any racing apart from speedway and have neva been to another event because its only the one thing thats on. So i think itll b well worth while.
Ive been to rev heads the last 4yrs in a row. Had my cars on show 4 2. Theres burnouts and cruises. (booked hotel already. hehe)
I mean ive neva seen racing and drifting. Apart from wannabes around town.
P.S. also the rev heads site has changed. Its http://www.narroginrevheads.com.au/ if any1 was interested
There was a petition of sorts awhile back, i think on either this forum or antilag.com, someone heard a rumour the event organisers eventually wanted a powercruise in each state, including WA. There was a pretty big response to the idea, however i don't ever remember any final decisions on it, probably just put in the "too hard" basket and forgotten. Insurance would be a killer - that and finding a place that doesn't mind hundreds of cars ripping up their tarmac is also a big ask.
I'd definately be there every year if it did take off however.
Insurance wouldn't be a problem if you did it at barbagallo raceway, it is a cams sanctioned track so you would have to have a cams licence of some sort. No insurance on race tracks.

Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
well you could say that. just so happends that i created it and i want to take powercruise to every state but the only way it can happen is if i see or hear enough interest from the punters.
gup
i think its pretty fair to say that WA has some pretty hardcore cars that dont get out much but could easily hold their own against the eastern staters. motorvation is good but a wa powercruise could be better again. and we have a venue.
hold there own? we have some of the tuffest cars in australia here.
id be there for sure as there is nothing like powercruise here, motorvation is the closest thing but if ya so much as chirp ya tyres ya get kicked out.
bring powercruse to WA you wont regret it!
haha looks like i finally did a good thread
i agree with shane, about w.a haven some pretty tuff machines
powercruise in w.a would be all good
where would be the venue? barbagello?

barbagello for sure as they now are allowing drifting, powercruise wouldnt rip up the track anymore then they do!
fcuk yeah im keen now, powercruise in wa would be the best powercruise ever!
