both are ball bearing and both are water/oil cooled. T04Z will be more responsive, but u will still run a good 9sec pass. Either turbo, is good, jus depends on how much outright power you want.

t51r is a hks built turbo but the garrett equivalent is the gt4502. seems to be very popular for cars that wish to run low to mid 9's and also popular with the gtr guys and quite a few of them on street driven cars.

With the right setup what RPM should i be expecting the Garrett T51R to Be in full boost ? What Does the T51R Retail for ? cheers

i would say the 4,500 and over man. Not really a responsive turbo, u would need a 2 or 3 speed auto with a big stall and transbrake with that turbo. 2,500 and over they would retail for. Not really sure bud.

Isn't the Garret T51R , just a renamed GT42 74.3mm 1000hp turbo renamed as garrett has started to bring there products into more alignment to the HKS stuff.???Or traders are?? i want to know aswell, as it came out of nowwhere this model. Because it seems to me a small 68mm Gt42(850hp) is the same size as a HKS T51R, and the 74mm GT(1000hp)is the same size as the HKS T51R SPL cheers darren

dont hks use garrett turbos as a base, and then modify them in one way or another.

I did a bit of searching, it looks like they use a 76.5mm comp wheel, instead of the 74.3mm of the gt42 1000hp turbo, probally a few other changes aswell, Brings it into line of Precisions Gt42 by the looks. One sick puppy , by the looks. cheers darren Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
