hey guys my mates dad has jsut opened a spray shop and he said he'd do my car, the thing is he can do it for practically nothing but he can only do metallic or normal colours, no pearl. what do you guys think would be good? my car is colour coded white now and has calais front and rear end. sorry this isnt supposed to be a "what colour to paint my car" thread but i jsut wanted to know what u guys think are good colours for calais's in either metallic or normal paint thanks nathan

HSV-QUE type colour was what i was thinking...thats jsut a normal paint isnt it...no pearl and not metallic?

How can he not paint pearl. Metallic can go blotchy or get zebra stripes on bonnets. Pearl is easy. it just sits there on the panel. Most modurn metalic cars have pearls added in the paint ?!? Anyhow if he only paints metalic and colour. Rose gray metalic (looks abit like gunmetal but with a red tone) is a good colour.But id adjust it and make the metalic courser and add a bit more black to make it darker. Bumper bars Asteroid.

i do not think it is becuase he CANT paint it but i think its another reason, maybe he hasnt got it set up yet or wot i dunno or maybe it will cost me more im not sure...im just going to get a metallic colour over asteroid silver..now i jsut need to decide which...if anyone has any pics of metallic painted cars itd be appreciated.

some form of morning blue, experiment makin it more metallic, different color sparkle stuff and whatnot, and see what looks good. But yeah, morning blue is awesome. Except when its faded like mine Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yellow vls always look sexy but black will also turn heads just think of it nice black calais polished up to the max so shiny would look hot and classy

Citric acid over silver (the ba greeny colour) Bermuda Blue over silver (VT blue) Botanica mica over silver (VT dark green metallic) Majenta over silver (pinky colour) Kawasaki green over silver (like a kermit green) Morning blue over silver (like HSVQUE's car) Ford festiva purple (solid colour) over silver - from about 94 Burgandy over silver (like sikcalais car but with silver bars) Gold over silver just a few combo's, its really what floats YOUR boat as you have to drive it every day and look at it all the time.
