I was cleaing my dash on the clear see through cover which i found out to be plastic and i acetoned it ( similar thing such as prepsol or thinners etc. )
Anyway i used a normal rag and found out that the acetone didnt like the PLASTIC and scratched the ****t out of the face and made it very cloudy and dull!
NOT good..
Just putting this up to warn you to DO NOT use anything but metho and warm water for this kind of issue!
Ill just replace it but its stuffed up the calais cluster i just bought.. luckily the clear cover can be replaced i hope

hahah ****in hell you learn everything the hard way dont ya, lol, how did you not know it was plastic ??? and acetone on plastic, put 2 and 2 together , lol ****in hell
amour oil has a simlair affect if you don't wipe it off, it will burn into the pastic and make it cloudy n crap! mainly happens when people clean there car at night and don't clean it off properly. damp cloth always works best.....wipe on wipe off!
You learn the hard way,
Thought it was prepsol.. its like a mild acetone chemical!
Yeah just use ****ing water next time!!!
DAMMIT!
BUt in the end who gives a **** really... nearly everythign is replaceable and cheap for VL's!
i was just thinking, ud still have to be stupid if you wanted to use prepsol on plastic cos im pretty sure that too will **** up the plastic, id elave a white cloudy **** all over it
