hey people i finally got my car back from the painters after 3 days!!! this is the story of my calais turbo!!
well as you all know i used to own a mint berlina which i just recently took the deposit off a fellow member on this site, the reason why i sold it was mainly because a new project came up which enevitably is my new calais turbo!!!
i travelled to warrigul which was 2 and half hours from my house up and a further 2 hours back but it was well worth it!! when i first looked at this car it "LOOKED" like a horror due to the paint all pealing off the roof and boot, the rims where ugli as, stone chips, dirt all over but my 1st rule is u can never ever judge a book by its cover. i talked to the owner which is another fellow member off this site and he showed me that due to the country driving it has a rebuilt engine and turbo, new auto and a recoed LSD and also the boost was set lower when it was rebuilt so no harm is done to the engine which was 5 psi!! the onli modification was the 3 inch turbo back exhaust from lukey which has a horrifiying tip on the end!! interior is mint!!! and i put a boost gauge in!!
pics: when i first got it!!
a clean up and rim change over:
sanding it back for the paint:
