Just wondering if an mf5 clutch can be used on a r33 box because thats wot im going to end up using. I now my Mf5 aint gona hold 230kw at the wheels will be used on the dyno hope it doesnt blow
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
ok, my brand new heavy duty mx7 clutch didn't hold 180rwkw.... don't even bother putting it on the dyno, you are just waisting money. But yeah, I do believe they are the same.
thats why i started this thread so i can spend 600 so on my clutch use it on the mf5 for tuning and till it blows then use it on the r33 box so the clutch doesnt go to waste
A friend of mine put an MF5 clutch in his R33 because thats all he had and sold it and the new owner hasnt had a problem with it. It should be allright on the dyno so long as the operator doesnt bring it on boost too quickly, depends how hard it comes on boost as too wether it will slip or not.
Same input shaft, between them.
They can use the same clutch and same spigot bushes in the crank.
Its the internals that are way bigger in comparison to one another.

you probably had oil from the rear main, or your hands over the fly?? maybe... dont burn me. lot of others had more power out of that clutch
hmm my engine is hooked up to an mf5, doesnt slip at all, i know it will die one day and then il stick an r33 in but she is coping atm. My engine would make at least 180rwkw being conservative as hell im guessing. (VERY heavy duty clutch tho)
