I sware one year it was an LJ torana with a blown bigblock. Ran a 7.6 or something. But if you can get a 7.6 second car regoed then i'm Ossama Binladen.
so it would have to comply with ADR's, Roadworthy requirements and EPA, hmmm, that narrows it down!
lol, you can legally drop a smallblock into an LJ, but not a bigblock!
Well Rod Hadfields Final Objective has been street legal and I think it has something like 4000 Horsepower out of its V12 Rolls Royce Fighter plane engine.

runs 8's on street tyres? has full emissions and EPA compliant? You're probably looking @ a Ferrari or Porsche or similar exotic to be fully street legal!

LOL i bet that thing complies with emissions regulations..... NOT
yup!! for one thing the car is a '56 chev... what emissions laws were inplace then? also the donk is a RR Merlin Spitfire engine... last production around 1943-4. no emissions laws to comply with, he's laughin.
emissions laws are only applicable to cars post 1986 AFAIK.

yeah but that 57 prolly wouldnt run the quickest down the 1/4, im thinking alot of wheelspin. im wanna kno the fastest road legal (registered and RWC) car in australia down the 1/4, not just hp heros. I assume non of the really fast cars run on street tyres for strip work

nope, it's more like 1976, even an HJ has emissions, my 78 Statey had a carbon cannister, EGR, pollution carby and all the valves, until I put her on straight gas that is!

no, HQ's never had any emissions fitted. The major change in 1986 was the introduction of ULP and the cat.
"Fasterst street-tyred, non nitrouse-powerd car in Australia".
Is a 1992 Nissan GTR R32, Keir Wilson is the owner.
His time so far is 8.84@160.25.
He wants to do a 8.61ET to take out the worlds fasterst street-tyred, non nitrous-powerd car.
The car has to run DOT-rated tyres, is an original unmodifed shell, has the original engine in it and can be road registered.
Willall Racing is the work shop the car comes out off, and is based in Adelaide. Sounds like they know a thing or 2 about making 6cyl turbos in street cars fly..
