anyway on the write in section there was this pic
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
Hahahahahahahahahaha OMFG
That is Rob Beacheum's <spelling Pro streeter (INJECTED). Took out SMOTY 4-5 years running way back in the late 80's early 90's, caused a huge storm about what SMOTY stood for over those years. I have sean this thing run at Willowbank, very nice. I think it has a 504ci.
He has a brother that runs a yellow 32-34 pro street rod sponsored by bumper t bumper, thats like back in 95-96.
WOW a bit of Street Machine history with that pic 87_DeVL.
Rob Beauchamp is the owner of this 1988 VL Calais.
Ok it used to have a Kinsler-injected 302ci Chev ran mid 10's.
It now has a Kinsler-injected 350ci best ET time is 9.40 @ 146mph. Grunt is around the 600hp.
The car caused a stir at Summernats 3, as it took out Summernats very first Grand Champion then followed up with the next 2 after that as well. The rules then changed.
I was at the first appearance of the car at summernats way back in 86-87 or something. I have a photo here of it when it was silver! The motor was originally in a LH Torana that he also won summernats with.
His first car was a 14 second 327 Chev HK wagon. A black HG Monaro got it running 12's. Then came the LX Torana, became his first Grand Champion at the 7th Street Machine Nationals.
Here are some photos I found from one of the 3 Summernats I was at. 86,87,88. I dont remember much about them. I was drunk the whole weekend. It was a lot safer back then. Not like the tools that go there now. I forgot that it was gun metal grey. There was a silver Vk there as well with a blown 350.
