Just in case anyone's looking for a way to beef up their rear springs (to carry more weight/tow etc) there's a way to achieve it without splashing out the bucks on HD coils and keeps the rebound civilised, too.
I've had a pair of Subaru rear coils sitting in the shed for a while, so thought I'd have a look at double-coiling the Davemobile.
It was scary how easy they went in! I opened the top turn of the Suby coils a couple of millipedes with the gas axe to fit the upper mount, wrapped the base in a strip of old truck tube liner to hold them centred and we're away!
The ride height came up about 20mm (it was too low anyway) and she's over-whelming the tired old shocks a tad (any time is a good time to fit new rear shocks, hehee) otherwise all good.

Sorry to revive such old thread but i wanted to add my two cents :P
Thats a pretty good Idea, I learnt the other day that having two springs eliminates all bouncing, Like if you have two vlavle springs, One inner One outter, Its impossible to get valve bounce
I thought it was pretty cool :P so i thought i would share it
its not impossible to get valve bounce with inner and outer valve springs, trust me.... (reason they have triple valve springs then)
if you want a stiff ride, get CUSTOM springs, they will do it EXACTLY how you want it, if you want double springs do it properly, by making brackets and mounting points for them (also do coil overs for both springs) you will need engeneering, customs springs and all, but remember, ITS ONLY A COMMODORE!

cool i didnt know you could get triples :P
and yeah no real need for double coilovers unless you towing a horse float or something :P
a trailer should allways be balanced to put 20kg to 50kg downward force, Tow a house if you want.. if it lowers your car more then sitting on your boot your a ****head.

NO WAY! Go out and have a sit! only bad thing is the rear window is on a little bit too much of an angle to lay back..
You will reverse your car into your lounge room and sit on your boot!

always have a sit, as long as your wearing trackies cos the metal bits on jeans ruin the paint... poor kane being emo can never even lean against a car or stand within a few cm's of one because of all his studded belts etc aha
