OK.. I got a VS Berlina, Lowered, 17" Fury mags, Tinted windows, getting skirts, stereo goes in next week, and sports exhaust on it's way, It's '95 model.. Now.. I wanna do some stuff to the engine.. As to make it fly(not literally). (it's an auto) Well dunno what more to say, outside looks awesome, the engine is 100% stock.. I must had I know sh*t all about cars, and my pockets arn't exactly bottomless so cost $$ : ops:

So what exactly is it that you are asking?
If you are asking what can you so to your engine to make it go a bit quicker, after you get exhaust I'd get extractors and highflow cat, then prob K&N air filter then some cold air induction. After that prob think about getting a cam and chip package but that will cost a bit. (1000-1500) After that even you could supercharge it??.. Lots of possibilities really.
Cold air, K&N, Extractors, Chip, Cam, Strong valve springs, Roller rockers, port and polish, bored out throttle body, rebored MAF, custom intake pipe to fit MAF.
As a start, any engine will run better if it can breath easier.
So as a start to get it breathing easier, i'd do extractors and exhaust, then a filter, and follow that up by cooling the air down.
By that stage you've got it breathing a little better, but a bigger throttle body will improve throttle response, so do that and a re-bored MAF and you'll be getting more air in.
A chip and cam will take advantage of your more air, and better way of getting rid of it so speak to someone who looks after Chiptourqe and they'll help you out with one.
The roller rockers and stronger valve springs are a good addition to the cam.
Port and polish, thats your call man, if you want to go as far as head work.
Other than those mods you might want to consider giving it some more fuel.
Another important thing is a Roller timing chain, something like a Rollmaster brand one thats good quality, the factory ones stretch and cause retarded timing and an annoying rattle.
You could put some decent plugs in, and bigger leads to, like Magnecore 8.5mm leads.
All up, not sure what pricing you're looking at but i'll throw a rough guide in
Extractors - $300
Cold Air - $60
Chip/Cam - $1500 to $2000
Filter - $120
Plugs - $12.95
Leads - $189
Re-bored MAF - $275
Yella Terra roller rockers - $695
Valvesprings - $495
Throttle Body - $245
lol haha even better rip the sixer out and drop in a C.O.M.E racing 355 or 383 stroker using a vt block and go nuts LSD, strengthened auto, 9inch in rear maybe upgrade ur brakes to brembo or sumthing of the like, inside full HSV interior clubsport or senator, half cage in back, piss of ROH rims there crap get a nice set of chromes or MAK rims or sumthing there heaps to choose from. Full GTS-R kit with sick rear wing, nice alpine system inside to keep the crew happy, drop tank, upgraded fuel system, motec computer, a few autometre gauges inside like 2-3 under head unit, VT HSV sterring wheel, 250km/h speedo HSV, and then go nutz cruzin and take it down CHAPEL ST
OK, because incase i didnt make myself clear, There's a budget :P I got about 3K to spend. As much as I'd love to do all that I can not! my88vl you the man I got the day off work tomorrow, so i'll take a look around, my town is overly limited with ANYTHING. As for cruising down Chapel Street.. I dont really wanna drive 4 hours to cut a few laps :P I get lost in Melb too easy!

dude - don't spend all that money on a V6. stock 6cylinder Falcons will still go faster then you, even if you supercharge your V6!
Buy a 5ltr, endless potential.
A friend is selling his VS Series II, 5ltr V8, auto, cruise, LSD, elec mirrors, immaculate, Reg & RWC - $12,999 (VIC) let me know if you're interested. It's fully original except 2.5" exhaust from cat back, dark green in colour!
Yeah have you considered what could be done if you were to sell this car and use all the rest of your money to buy maybe something else?
Cause with a car like that, think resale value. Will you get anything back at all for what you've put in?
Nah VS's aren't holding value very well... they seem to go for around $9000 to $10,000 here for a low kays VS Sedan.
Still, it would be a learning curve to modify a V6.
I'm doing it... i'm not really worried about resale on it, cos i'll keep it.
Well yeah i'm keeping it as a project car.... so far planned mods include -
- Magnecore 8.5mm leads
- NGK V Groove Plugs
- VS S/C V6 Cold Air
- JR Panel Air Filter
- Extractors, high flow cat, and 3" exhaust
- Re-bored MAF
- Re-bored Throttle Body
- Stage 2 Cam & Chip
- High stall to match
- Yella Terra roller rockers
- 105lb @ 1.800 Valve Springs
- Stage 2 ported heads
- Rollmaster timing chain
All up thats gonna cost me a ****load.
Im 18 D: Drive a 5 Ltr around here Im in trouble, cops get you in a wink. Was just gonna do this up for a while, then when I turn 21, if I can sell it then cool, if not just keep it and get something else aswell I guess. I gotta ask mr my88vl, why's your bumper white? Just to be different?

Two reasons....
1 - Because my ****ing imbosile ex girlfriend (vlt chick on this forum) can't drive for ****, and decided that a rock wall was a good place to park my car. When she was parking instead of hitting the brake, she hit the gas and BANG!
2 - My car is actually a Toyota Lexcen.... identical to a Holden Commodore, with the exception of the front bumper. So i when the accident happend, i put the Holden bar on, because it was cheap, and because its a Holden part.
I can't help but laugh my head off when someone says a Falcon engine is quicker than a Holden V6,my brothers VN has been rebuilt my me,it has a Toyoat Supra 5 speed behind it and has a Crow roller timing chain,K-lined ans resurfaced head (which I believe has raised the compression ratio),Pacemaker headers, cold air intake,K+N air filter and a 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust system, this car is quicker than out parents VX ECOTEC V6 which is also quicker than the Ford 4 litre AU motor.
Someone has fitted an VS V6 into a VB Commodore and it has had a chip rewrite, engine rebuild (just bored out a little), and still has the standard intake and exhaust system,it puts out 165 kw at the flywheel.
If you look in an old edition of the Zoom magazine, they merely shaved the heads to get a compression ratio of 10:1,then rewrote the engine management to get 60 per cent more power out of it,using standard fuel,it puts out something like over 200 kw from a less powerful VN motor, but I am sure my brothers is putting out like at least 160 kw,would be interesting to dyno it.
Ahh, ok so you got rid of all the badges, put on a commodore steering wheel and away ya go I just thought the bumper was being 'different' I was gonna change mine to black (not really) but yeah. I started looking around, cant do anything to teh engine til the warranty runs out in a month and a half, then shall start on the engine, just wanted to get prices and stuff Is a stock 4L ford really faster!? Faster than a Supercharged V6?
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
Yeah basically... total debadge, Holden steering wheel, Holden bumper, Holden headlights/indicator.
I'm in the process of working out what order to do things in.
I guess i have to get the thing fixed are the cab incident, then i can work the engine before having it re-sprayed.
Those prices if have you there should be a rough guide, but cos i'm looking into doing the same stuff as you, and on a budget, i'll keep you informed with prices. Kinda like a home version of the V6 Vengence project.
