Police Sting in Victoria PLZ read!!!!!!!
Okay guys i have been in the drag racing scene for a number of years and have some real beneficial information that will concern all the street drag racers in the Sth. eastern suburbs of Melbourne Dont go there! There is a blits on @ the moment! They are targeting street drags in a big way as i have recources in all areas telling me that they have set up unmaned cameras that have been going for 3 weeks in factories where the drags are being held around. This is not a a bull**** post post!!! B carefull guys as the cops are going to come down hard on plates they film!
I know it sux for us guys in the SE sub. to have to drive to Calder Park for a squirt but thats what what the LAW states we must do.
I dont want to list areas so if u are interested PM me and I might give you a Clue!
Regards....
i havn't heard about the camera's, but i heard they are driving undercover cop cars, that do not have the sirens or the lights at the back, as they are just basic VY execs, that they drive around the "drag" area's and take down plates, and really STUFF U OVER ops: , luckily i live right next to calder, and i'll be taking my soon to be vl turbo over there...
hope people don't get to stuffed if they get filmed..

yeah the cops up here in qld are resorting to unmarked VRX magnas to hone in on the racers in the area. bad thing is you could be driving to the local shops, but if your car looks "hotted" up they will still pull you upo for a once over
Dan.
Yeh iv seen that pic to! Iv heard its from over seas but i wouldnt worry about that! I think its a hoax.. I think that the cops would have troubles with that because there would be so many people that would steal them and break them and i can ensure you that the speed cameras would not be cheap! Im amazed that the perminate speed cameras down in melb are still standing!
boys i no a few places in campbellfeild with the cams, they are usually on the side of the buldings and there can be up to 5 or 6 cameras in one street.
yeah i head about that unmanned camera in the factory a while back .... also about some unmarked cars cruzin with the group of racers.
some big **** has been in the pipework for a while from what i'm hearing..
everyone with half a clue is stayin clear of that whole scene for a while as far as i know...
me included... My n/a has no chance to get away.
Yeah Ive heard that as well. Cops are especially targeting P PLATE DRIVERS AND CARS WITH PERSONALISED PLATES!!!
Jimmy might be an idea to make this thread sticky for a while

That's because aus880 is a cop , or a Fireman which work with the coppers, but he is right keep the raceing on the track it saves you fines, defects and lessens the risk of anyone getting injured.
Your right about no race tracks or even a place just to do legal "Burnouts" in the South East as there are alot of modified cars in the area with no local place to go and race or have some fun, Calder Park is like 72km one way from my house and as for Heathcote forget about it it's a whole day at the track for that one.
As for illegal street raceing well we have all been spectacters or participated in the illegal drags at one time or another, but these days it's just not worth it too much Police surveilance in the South East, not sure about the North West boys I've heard it's still flourishing, just becareful people if you do attend or participate in street raceing.
By the way this site does not condone illegal street raceing, and will probably get locked sooner or later so watch what you's say ok. 8)

a friend got pulled over in SE Suburbs a few months back, and the cop told him that cameras will be setup in the popular drag areas. but we didn't take any notice of him.
racing on the road maybe a little more dangerous then the track, but it's a hell of a lot more fun!
