Yes, Willowbank is re-opening this saturday night after a few weeks off for some track maintenance.
Gates open at 4pm with racing from 4:30pm
Entry is $30 to race (up $2) which allows 1 driver, and 1 pit crew in the one car.
Spectators are $15
To race you will need a helmet, long sleeve shirt, and long pants. You will also need shoes and socks.
I was thinking of making a cruise of it and having a few meeting places... like these
1- Sunnybank Maccas
2- Redbank BP (i think its Redbank)
3- Willowbank Raceway
Its going to be a good day and the weather is looking good, it is expected to be one of the cooler summer days so come along and have a bit of a race. I know i'm personally aiming for mid 15's.
And i wouldn't mid going head to head against JVL87 and maybe even VLT69.... cmon Jay & Scott...

track will be sticky , it has been prepared with vht similar to the way they do it for a big meeting , only bcoz it is new though, theres no way they will do it every meet.
but this track is good , beleive me.

I didn't think they were doing anything with the surface of the track for this round of work?
Last i heard they were doing all the barriers this time and then the track work was to be next time. This time was all about preping the track with the barriers, drainage and also some lighting.
Oh well maybe i was wrong but it should be a good run out there if its not too packed.

Yeh, I thought track would be extra sticky.. cos if I were repairing **** I'd make sure it were sticky, but thats just me..

haha im not in ollies league but i think im up there with urself.
it wont be extra sticky but they have laid some tackers down as its basically impossible to run on a new surface with either no rubber or old vht down.
but as rob said the cosmetics and drainage have also been catered for.

I'm racing on Saturday, so Simon... unfortunate for you, my helmet will be on my head and not on yours, sorry champ.. I'd love to come out and watch.. but when ur in the cool league and all, karts take priority.

umm i'll be out there about nine in the morning.. race all day.. final is usually about 7:30pm.. so yeah its a long day.. but its all good..
3rd in the club championship so at least i should finish karts with a nice trophy this year !

I know how much my presence means to you's... so dig deep and find it in your hearts to donate the 1 free pit crew entry thing to me... cheers, oh and while i'm here if you're organising a cruise i'd suggest KFC redbank plaza, where we've all met before... or the Gails Shell where we also stopped off on the last willowbank cruise for fuel...
