Ladies and Gentlemen... Introducing the next Official Event to be promoted by www.calaisturbo.com. The event will be a days racing at a Street Event at Calder Raceway on the Sunday 29th September 2002 Prices and Information are as follows: Gates & Scruitineering open : 9am. Racing : 10am Competitor Entry : $55 (yes it's a bit expensive) Entry - Burnout Comp : $40 (that's just a plain rip off Spectators : $17 Children under 13 : Free We will also be running our own competition! Rules: The car must be a VL Turbo. The car must have a www.calaisturbo.com sticker somewhere on the car which you can buy for a one off price for $2 if you are racing, or $5 if you want one for your own car (or just want to support the site) but aren't racing on the day. I will be keeping a list of times and whos racing and there will be prizes! Prizes: Fastest official VL turbo will receive a trophy. Update: There will also be a second trophy for the person who has the best reaction time for the day. This means whoever gets closest to 0.400 without going under. Make sure you tell your friends about the day as we want to try and get quite a few VL Turbos out for the day. It's a normal street meet that is held every so often out there, so yeah anyone can race its not just exclusive to people from the forum. (that was made clear in the other thread we had going about this) As for the trophy, thats encouragement to get as many of us out there as we can, considering we dont really do anything together ne more after our last organised cruise. The rule of having a VLT and calaisturbo sticker, well, thats promoting the site ey! We didnt want to have a category where anyone could rock up (with us) ie: Rajab and win against you guys... Sin posted the 2nd prize will be for the 2nd fastest car, but that might change at this stage, to something that ya'll can compete, so yeah ya skyline, N/A's and other folk can still win.. But yeah, if thats gunna change it will be within days so everyone will know. death threat removed??

How many kilometer's from Brisbane to Melbourne ?? Is there any chance of an additional trophy category for fastest N/A ! :roll: I was thinking maybe i could drive down from here, it couldn't take that long. Hey Sin, What about a "Hard Luck" award or trophy for any poor soul who does damage to his or her car, such as blown auto, turbo or accident on the track, not that I hope this happens to any one but motor raceing always suprises us. :roll: I will try and round a few cars up to race including myself, just hope nothing blows though.
