When the price per shirt comes in, i will be ordering mine regardless and post the cost. You will be assured the shirt the next day after i take delivery. I should have a price by Thursday. If you live in Brisbane, i can deliver for a gold coin donation or you can pick them up. Hey Rob.. I was wondering if you could tell me where and for how much you are getting these black shirts from ? Like what is the price for an individual black polo shirt, without logo on it ? I'm not too sure on prices hey... i guess it depends on what type of shirt you want. I mean you could go for a cheap Polo from K-Mart or the like and would probably be around $12.00 to $20.00 Or if you're like me, and fussy, then a Ralph Lauren shirt is around the $60 mark. Anyway i should have a price soon.

Ok guys, I have a rough price. For a good quality Polo shirt, we're looking at $50 each. This is an all black shirt with the CalaisTurbo logo on the front and the web address underneath. What i need you guys to do is give me numbers of who wants them. This is a definite yes or no answer. I need to know numbers for the sake of getting a more in depth estimate done. Payment is required in full prior to delivery as i personally can't foot the bill and then have people pull out. There won't be, simply because it will add significantly to the price. I will be talking to the guy about getting some patches made up... so you can put them on another shirt. Or your car seats, or hats or anything... Actually would that be better?? Getting just some patches made up... that way you guys can pick a shirt and worry about where you want it. Personally i would prefer a CK shirt or a Ralph Lauren but then someone else might only want a Bonds black Polo... Anyway with patches you could put them on shirts, hats, car seat covers or even dash mats... Let me know...

Can we please see the design before you begin to distribute them? Is it embroided? and what logo did you use? Please e-mail me with pics, and a breakdown of the costs.. also, do you have the vector image you have the embroider?

Yeah i'll get the design up here for you all... Its just the Calaisturbo.com logo with the sections of Calais & Turbo filled in... The other thing is, i don't have a vector image of it, and that was going to be my next question... Chilled or Sin: Do you guys have a vector image of this that i can use? At the moment there is no breakdown of costs because it will vary depending on numbers. I also haven't spoken to the supplier about the embroidered patches. The guy i spoke with said that the last time they did 11 shirts in this style it was $46.30 each shirt. That was supply, embroider & deliver them to one place. Yes they will be embroidered. Regardless of whether they're shirts or just patches, they will be embroidered.

Rob, i say go ahead with it. we have been told that these things would be done in the near future ****in ages ago. obviously not going to get a lot of co-operation now about the vector thing now that you've been instructed not to go ahead with it but yeh. of course though, we do want to see the final product before anybody is going to say , yes i want one. but you can count on every guy that was on that cruise getting one, plus a few more. so it would definately be worthwhile. catch ya Jay

I think it would be a fantastic idea, only if the deisgn was nice tho, we cant have a few different designs, like ex-static said, it needs to be 'official gear' so everyones looks the same. You could all work together with the current design and be happy with it. Or a new one could be designed. Sure the idea has taken a life time to come to reality, still not there yet, but patience is a virtue. btw, a polo is a polo, you dont need a friggin $50 polo shirt if your going to wear it to the cruises or what not. K-Mart make perfect polos. This would be a shirt, if i bought one, that would be worn whilst working on car, chucking on around the house, and wearing on a cruise. I'm sure that would be the same for most people. Also i would suggest make one shirt now, model the shirt so everyone can see what it looks like, and then people can decide if they want it. Also theres a few chicks on this site now, and maybe they would like a sexy tight show off boobs t-shirt. Then model that top also. I'd imagine the origional logo is jus rasterised bitmap... you can't print much with that unless it's high res. If ya give it to them they might be able to print something pretty close to it or get it traced into vector Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ive seen a demo top with the "CalaisTurbo" on the front, im really keen on a top but seems sorta pointless to have the text so small.. I had assumed the web address (atleast) would be on the back - big... It's something i want to be able to show off to people and be PROUD of.

OK, Chilled I understand that you want official gear.. but how long have we already been waiting, and how much longer do u expect us to wait ? I don't agree with the filling in of the calais and turbo logos. They should appear on the shirt as they appear on the site, otherwise they'll look stupid. Rob, if you would like me to make a picture of the exact logo (How I personally think it should look) emial me so u can send it to Brendan. As for the shirt. who gives a **** what brand as longs as its quality and comfortable and of course, of dress standard. For those of the chiks who are interested in the female version of the 'shirt' which will be more of a chicks top i'd presume... come up with a picture of the kind of tops u wear and i'll wack a logo on it. I agree, The shirts should be official calais turbo gear. All the same so we look like a group of decent car enthusiasts. Once the shirts are decided on we should get back to the idea of hats n stuff. Next cruise I'm their. Kingy

Seeing as I started this nonsence on the old forum, I'd thought I'd add my opinion. The official gear, would make us look like a coherent group. Not a bunch of try hards. Althought $50 is a little expensive, add to it postage and you have a shirt you really wouldn't want to wear just in case you got it dirty. If it were a little closer to $40-45 inc. postage would be a little better. My two bob's worth. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Maybe you could try to stay clear of the black shirts. We'd all end up looking like a bunch of car loving bogans. :evil: I'd buy one if it was any colour other than black. possibly white or a nice red or something. 8)
