hey guys thought it was about time for an update as its been awhile. since the last update ive had the fuel tank made which like most things didnt go to plan as i wanted to run a pipe to the tank from the where the standard fuel tank filler goes but i didnt allow for the fall on the filler neck . we then made a filler neck that would be inside the boot with a splash guard so it would meet the regulations .now i also have to seal up the rear fire wall and parcel tray which is still to be done. ive also got a 9inch diff ready to bolt in just need to sort out a diff head and driveshaft for it but may end up the head thats already in it for now an change it later on as for the engine bay not to much has changed since last time except the radiator ,ht leads , power steer tank and a few other small things . i also have a catch can ready to go in which will be positioned up where the window wiper motor goes just need to get the hoses as for the ecu ive had a link g4 installed and was ment to get tuned by the guy but yeah long story now im getting c and m performance to tune it for me hopefully next week just got one thing to sort out first Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

why such a small tank?

looks to me as if it extends upward thru the floor of the boot? and the height of it (along with the narrow length and width) will mean it acts like a surge tank, keeping the fuel from sloshing around lots and uncovering the outlet and letting air into the pumps

its actually a 60 litre tank most of the tank is inside the boot and yes the bottom part acts as the surge tank . i had it made like that so i wouldnt have to worry about sealing up the rear fire wall and parcel tray but because i didnt take into account the fall on the filler neck i have to seal it up anyway

you could fill it from the bottom of the tank long as the filler is higher then the top, possibly? and does you catch can have a drain?

thought id put up a photo of the fuel tank from the top so everyone could see what the rest of the tank looked like. its not prety as its not exactly how i wanted it but ohwell its only the boot i aint gana be looking in there much. found out why the trans wouldnt shift through the gears last night after takeing the b&m shifter out and putting the standard one back in it still would only just change gear .then i finally clicked that id left the vaccuum line off to the vaccuum modulator on the trans glad thats sorted what a stupid mistake Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hmm yea that does look a bit different! From memory I think HSVSUX has a fuel cell in the boot, the filler hole is in the middle of it and it has a big dish around it to catch any spills. that's what's required from the certifier as far as I know. But I do like that tank though, it looks really tidy ps I thought you were going to run a manual box instead of the auto? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hey guys picked up car tonight its awesome. havent got dyno sheet just yet as apparently they had a problem with their printer but any way i was told it made 388rwhp which correct me if im wrong is 289rwkw so very happy with what it made. its just a run-in tune for now on only 14psi and apparently wheelspin on the little 14 inch wheels. hope it doesnt sound like im making out that its got heaps more in it. the plan is now to finish the drivetrain and get some more kms on the engine then ill get it retuned and see what the final power figure is. it was an awesome feeling driving it home without the bonnet on its quite loud . it lights the wheels up as soon as it starts to come on boost which then i pussy out and go off the gas its gana take some getting used to before im willing to really push it and see what it can do

thanks for youre comments guys . sorry cant really answer your questions just yet as i didnt get a chance to speak to the guy that tuned it tonight he had already gone home . ill try and give him a call tomorrow as have a few questions for him.only driven it twice now and one of those was driving it home. i think first priority is some brakes although there doing alright at the moment but definately some wheels and tyres its just to dodgy for now im scared its going to step out sideways when the turbo comes in
