absolutely me i've seen you around before aswell but i would have been in the red wagon. the vy is my daily but wears the CAL415 plates from my old vl. yours is na? i was waiting for the exhaust note. be careful btw that monash overpass / wellington road area is well known for a fixed speed camera.

so since the last post I'ev collected a few more parts and I've ticked the VL away for winter. this winter theres lots of plans. I'll unleash photos as progress is made instead of ranting about what I plan to do. I've also purchased another 2 VL's I've parted out. a sl which sent lots of parts to dad and recently a Calais. I'm keeping the chrome moulds, cluster and the disc diff (diff id for dad.) I'm also playing with the idea of keeping the elec door and mirror setup and the black sideskirts... should I fit black sideskirts to my SL? The Calais, I was sitting with a beer after washing the VL and before shammying it and this angle really struck me. I'm not sure why. the SL Before after and a few doormoulds I've been ollecting the last 5 years! ---------- Post added 28-04-13 at 23:58 ---------- and finally all of the cars out in the street while I wash the driveway. The VL VY and the HK are all mine. ---------- Post added 28-04-13 at 23:59 ---------- Oh and i tried to keep the Nudge bar and fit it to my VL but it dodn't fit with the cooler. I was so dissapointed Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

boom baby! they need another coat as the powder is thin in some places and bubbly in others. why when you say "its for a vl" does everyone half ass and cheap out on your job? FFS

Nice^^ What did you use for the sound deadener under the body and where did you get it from? Cheers Mitch

its more stone guard than sound deadener. i just used aerosol under body deadener from super cheap auto. approx $15 per can. seems alright its not too thick but bitumen spray would be a decent rust procetant and i don't want to add tonnes of weight. just use whatever you can to clean the underbody as best you can then spray it on. so i went to the AllStars market day meet today at Carribbean markets. was a good day. then I came home and started pulling down the front. I have to get myself a winter to do list but the front end pull down will be to deaden the inner guards, rust treat and also to clean out the water drain holes. I've also ordered and paid for a set of rx7 caliper adaptors from VHR32 off of this forum and have a mate building some braided front hoses with rx7 and vl fittings si I don't have to use adapors. first awesome use of my new low profile jack! piulled down crap in the water drain drivers side rust. passenger side is pretty much fine. purchased this purely for the centrepad and purchased a new blue / red slash from the HDT website dropped these in to have a loo at costs to rebuild alo found this on a bag in an op shop. I love it. needs to be made into a key chain ha ---------- Post added 09-06-13 at 20:32 ---------- an idea of what I want to get done *daunting* Front Remove front end Clean up all inner guards and undercarriage Inspect for rust and treat Flush out all drainage holes Fit rx7 calipers with bracket kit and new pads and braided brake lines Rear Solder breather plugs on replacement tank Replace all fuel tank hoses Remove fuel tank Remove rear bar Clean all of the undercarriage from diff tunnel back Seal with underbody deadener Remove, sandblast and powderoat towbar before refitting Fit new fuel tank Fit bosch 044 Engine bay Vt booster Vs resovoir Rebuild master cylinder Remove and polish all intercooler piping and intercooler end tanks Do something with the spark leads and the breather hoses that go across the standard crossover pipe. New airbox bottom (mine has the rear cutout for super epic fluttering because I thought that was cool…) Fit turbosmart dual stage boost controller Fit adjustable rising rate fuel pressure regulator Interior Replace dash cluster with grey dot calais style Replace dash cluster and satellite switch wiring loom (theres some problems with the passenger side satellite switch lighting up.) Fit berlina / Calais style cassette deck Fit ghilbi steering wheel with hdt centrepad Replace rear passenger doortrim (water damaged) Replace passenger side mirror (doesn’t stay in position, wobbles down so you are looking at the ground) Fit carpeted kick panels Other Fit all new 2 packed bumpers and trims Polish roof racks and drainage channel trims Passenger side front door handle needs to be pulled really hard to open it. I think it’s the rod gets straightened with age. Putting a kink in it fixes this. Probably check all doors Finally assemble and fit those bloody BBS’s! ---------- Post added 09-06-13 at 22:25 ----------
