10-03-10, 11:05 GMT+10#183 Hell yeah! That would have been better than getting a 3some for your birthday!
Mines a Burton Blunt 155. She struggled in the pow, not enough setback, but once she was up and running it didn't matter to much

Yeah, I was loving it, but my mate that was skiing did a tendon in his shoulder on the 4th day there. I was pretty impressed he ski'd anyway for most of the holiday considering he couldn't lift one arm
That bus nearly broke my tailbone. smashed myself trying to spin across it and then went off the end and cracked it again

10-03-10, 12:25 GMT+10#194 Was $3300 for flights, transfers, accom, 12 day lift pass (12 of 14 pass). Only breakkie was included, no other meals.
only 2 things i'd say sucked, the price of beer, and the fact that i now think aussie snow is absolutely crap!

03-05-10, 17:00 GMT+10#197 Still pretty early in the season for Perisher, but should be right in the middle of a dump. Probably find not all the resort is open yet, but still enough to enjoy.
Here's the long range forecast...

Now for 2010. Looking at the current charts I see a cold outbreak around the 9th-11th May with light snowfalls likely. This snow is not likely to hang around for too long with mostly clear weather and cold nights after that until the next possible snowfall around the 23rd-25th of May. After this we could see some shower activity with some warm air mixing in with some weak low pressure systems, which is not good news for the snowmakers.
The season is due to officially start on Saturday the 12th of June and although it's a long way away, to me the charts are indicating snowfalls around the 5th-8th, so fingers crossed we get a snowy start to season 2010. Looking to specific dates any further than that becomes a bit hard but I can say that June and July are pointing towards being wetter than normal with El Nino weakening. I see snowfalls mixed in with some showers over the first few weeks of June before the temps drop slightly at the end June and we start to see colder nights and the likelihood of heavier snowfalls increase dramatically in early July. I think July could one of the best for some time.
Bureau forecasts suggest August being drier than normal but I don't see this as a problem with temps remaining cold enough for long periods so the snowmakers can keep the cover fresh. I still see some good snowfalls in August that should see the depth increase. September should be a lot like 2009 with periods of warm sunny days mixed in with a couple of nice falls of snow that should keep the cover decent enough to have skiing and boarding continuing up to the closing weekend.
