Having some problems with the VL. If i start it from cold it will hold an idle then all of a sudden flat die, no splutters just dead in a flash. Then if i start it again hold it at 2000 revs after 15 or so seconds it dies instantly again and wont start. Any suggestions? Im thinking its an ignition problem but where to from there.

Youve probably already done it but have you checked for spark once it cuts out. Ihad a similar problem with mine one of the wires to the coil had come lose.

Funny cnuts eh! But Kelvins nailed it. It will be a combination of the things he mentioned. Mine handles alright, but then there is no factory suspension left! Older cars tended to roll like boats from factory - check out any old photos of a stock VL being punted around - just like fat chicks, they were built for comfort, not speed.

hey guys. having a few issues with fitting a headunit to my vl, have tried a few different ones and cannot seem to get the ****ing thing to sit perfect, beginning to get the better of me!!! Has anyone been down this track before??

On my brothers vl my dad put it in and he cut alot of the plastic to get it to fit, but its perfect. On my old vl i just slotted the head unit surround into the existing hole and it seemed to be good except the headunit was too long once the amp was plugged in so it stuck out a little. On my turbo i tried the same as my old head unit and its all crooked and sticks out. I might have to figure out what my dad did cut out.
