thanks for the kind words everyone.
so anyone who has followed my other thread will know my 35r shat itself, some foreign object damage. something i dont feel responsible for but none the less it came out of my pocket to replace.
so after much ****ing around got the old turbo off. found that the water lines were all blocked up with ****. this is probably due to the turbo fittings being ally and thus where it reacted, then spread down the elbows.
i drained the fluids and found this in the radiator
judging by the colour of the water that came out it had some green coolant mixed in somewhere with the red ****.
dropped all that and flushed the radiator out with water from the hose. probably took about 50L before i could see the bottom of the bucket i was filling up and 100L till it was clear.
then at the workshop we filled it up with water, got it hot and dropped it.
at that point we also found a leaking fuel line, that was rectified. then paul noticed my rear upper control arms were ****ed out. looks like the top drivers side bolt undid, but hung on by a touch. ****ed that bush out then as a result of the movement ****ed out both of the other side bushes. replaced all them and did up tightly. interestingly enough the gentleman who put the arms in mentioned that the old ones were loose and that could be why my diff was bumping around... seems odd he would make the same mistake. so i will check again after a few kms and make sure they arent loosening, and possibly add some locktight or similar to hold them in.
the ****ed bush with the bolt almost out:
so with everything rectified, and brand new penrite mixed coolant, brand new hpr30 and k&n oil filter the car was ready to go. void of leaks (other than my powersteering lol)
luckily just in time for Craig Dyson to come over and do some tuning on the Active Automotive Dyno, organised by Paul Turner of PRT performance (canning vale workshop, subtle plug but a great guy none the less, wizo 6 on here).
Craig tuned a few cars, including shtscrd (i think i got that right?) the crazy yellow car that looks like its going to be the fastest VLT in WA shortly and Tones RX4 (mental blue thing).
the result of my tune is somewhat unexpected... given that i am running BP 98, with no additives (don't worry i will mix in a touch of c16 or octane booster for full boost drag runs to be safe, cant trust those BP bowsers)
and yes i am messy, that circle stain is from me putting it down on some weird metal circle things when i went to take a piss.
so a happy ending none less... just pleased its all ok for now. a few more things to tidy up but all in all seems ok. just wish i didnt have to burn 1k or so in doing so...
would love some comments on the readings of actives dyno vs ovaboost (not to start a war, just so i know where i stand on the 75 hp increase from adding 3psi and more fuel) i know they are both lower reading dynos, are they almost the same or does one read lower.

Man that vid was awesome, such a cool angle to watch from, and that R34 got raaped hehe
Also it got me excited for when (or maybe if) i get mine to the drags one day

Very empressive mate so what did u end up doing with ur turbo rebuild ??? Now u should defiantly get a low 11 maby 10 if u dnt drive like an old mate lol extra 75hp should keep u scared for a while lol
didnt rebuild it, still have it here. cant get new bearings so you basically have to fit a front wheel and hope for the best, or buy a whole new replacement ($1300 with front housing lol)
i just forked out $800 for a 2nd hand 35r with a 66mm front wheel and housing machined to suit. = more power!!!!
going to flush the **** out of the radiator after all this. its good for now but i want to flush it several times, and properly lol!
I would just like to say a well done to Jack for the car it impressed even me with the power it made can't wait to get it to the track now and see and Tones wants his head lights back when can u drop them in ? I would just like to thank Craig for flying over and tuning these cars for me and a big thanks goes out to Eddie from active automotive with out his help this would have never happened thanks guys.
Run on the way home made me laugh. You go me fair and square haha. I just want to head back and see how long the black strips are because I know I was still spinning hard in 4th hahahaha
Congrats on the result, I'm was very impressed with the end result!! Would love to see just how much it would make on some good fuel!
35rs are ball bearing arent they?
so baller, only difference is a larger front wheel. its basically a stock 35r thats had a different wheel put on and the housing machined to suit. just aids in airflow a little i spose...
and tones i could see you spinning up, you had to shift to 4th early and by then 3rd gear skyline box was doing its magic!
cant give an exact figure due to spinnning its ass off on there but craig was talkin 600hp mark and this is still on safe tune( 10afr through top end) 29psi c16, big congrats to jack with his rig thats just insane power for a street driven vl

haha nah i wasnt dan, i will be soon though. getting new brakes sorted atm in bunbury (going back to nissan 4pots front but sorting out the matching 2 pot rears). Hopefully have a run or two at collie since i've never been around that track. AL are looking at organising the weekend there, it all depends on my uni as to whether i make that one.

thanks for that. as a comparison i put my fingers in my ears half way through my car running up, just as the gate opened. with yours i just about needed them in there when it was idling lol.
yours is going to shake up the WA standings, RE did a what? 9.95? i dont think you will have that much trouble with that.

**** yeah congrats to both of you guys so when are use hitting the strip ??
i might be a little while yet, not much to do, but now i have to pull my focus back to uni.
Not sure if i mentioned it or not, but now it makes 8psi on the 2 step lol... surely it will either be too much for the tyres or the rear end... will have to see.

Haha yeah, ill be the first to admit it scared the **** out of me when i took it for a drive. dont think i made it to 23psi at any point before backing off, too much power for my "street semi" 595rs-R 235s lol.
WA times say you did a 11.7 on street tyres, thats where im aiming but "street" tyres for me will be ET streets, not legitimate street tyres like you had. im sure with enough time and enough practice i can get there. i have no doubt the way the car feels is a massive improvement over when it ran the 12.0... but its me that needs to improve.
haha nice - I actually did an 11.4 on ET streets after my motor was killed @ powercruise. Wouldn't even rev out past 7k and filled the catch can each run mph was way down around 120. Rookie mistake, should have taken it to the drags first.
But yep that 11.7 was on 18" chromies and nankangachangs @ 40 psi

Lol I don't think I'll go that fast with my manual... Oh well.
I'm fairly sure if the box could stand up to it someone else could drive it that fast, but I want to be the one lol.
Organising some guard rolling for the rear and possibly a wheel change then I'll be hitting it again. Just want that 11 I've been talking about for two years...
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
So had another trip back to PRT today, tidied up a couple of loose ends and decided to stick with the handbrake 2step setup.
also had Dez from AutoFx detailing/guard rolling pop by this afternoon and roll my guards. He found that the drivers side rear had been rubbing towards the back of the guard, whilst the passenger was more the front and middle area.
Im thinking (hoping) this was mostly due to the fact the trailing arms were all out of whack, one being almost completely out, and that would twist the diff in that angle. Hoping mostly because the back part of the guard cannot be rolled, it has to be cut and rejoined properly...
anyway, i also found my wheel nuts are mostly ****ed now, all starting to get rounded. i was using a cheap tire iron, and also banging nuts on when they were almost too hot to touch a couple of times (after barbs and drags) when they were soft.
so now im in the market for another set of nuts, preferably something good, possibly swing me some recommendations? i haven't researched nuts (at least not those kind). i will likely pick up some replacement holden ones for the time being.
so its racing time now.
probably hit the track in a fortnight, hoping the temps dip a little more, at least the sun is setting a bit earlier and the nights are getting a bit lower.
