well i dont know what the going price is, but what do you guys think about this? http://www.ausindustry.gov.au/Energy...ants(EPG).aspx (http://www.ausindustry.gov.au/EnergyandFuels/EthanolProductionGrantsEPG/Pages/EthanolProductionGrants(EPG).aspx) "The program commenced on 18 September 2002 and is available to ethanol producers until 30 June 2011." do you guys think we should expect to see the price of e85 to go up after june this year? we obviously havent seen the growth at the pump that we were hoping for, but it seems like the big companys are getting behind it(holden and euro's). i still think this stuff is incredible. filled up my parents saab 9-3 with it and the rich smell of sugar coming from the tank is sick.

Has anyone had any issues with the consistancy of E85? I have heard that the pump e85 is great for your standard VE that can detect how much ethanol really is in it and change the tune accordingly (eFlex?) - but for performance cars - the consitancy just isnt there. Tune the car on a "summer" blend, and the "winter" blend can possibly damage the motor???? Drum e85 is about $2.50/L?? but perfect consitency for performance.

Can someone please confirm that fuel town southland has now stopped selling E85? If so, is hoppers the only place that has pump E85 fuel? Not referring to caltex's version, thanks

My mate went to Hoppers today, they ran out of E85 and guy said they probably wont be getting anymore, time to buy testing tubes from ebay to check caltex

apparently due to the floods, water must have got into the tanks. so they probably need to drain the tanks totally, bin that fuel, then re-fill it. decent costs involved in that. Im just using the Powerplus racing stuff from VPW now like many others.

ID2000's r probley way over kill, u will probley only need Indys blues 1600cc, but twin 044's r fine.

At what point will you need to start looking at an aftermarket lift pump to feed your surgetank?

Its pretty good insurance to run a reliable after market lift pump anyway, the very last thing you want is to have any of your pumps fail and your surge tank to run dry.

I reckon anytime your being half serious.. having a well designed fuel system can make or break a car. I would go along the lines of a fuel cell with multiple pick ups, dual lift pumps with one-way valves, into a 4 or 5 litre surge tank. If you feeding the surge with twin AN-10/12's then ideally you would have twin AN-10/12 back to the cell. Then you have your high pressure pump or pumps feeding from the bottom of the surge to the front of the car. A quality reg on the return side of the rail to maintain pressure and a same size return as supply. The only pressure should be from the output of the high pressure pump to the rail and injectors, everything else should be apart of an open loop.

Just thinking.. I have a hi-flo on an A8 with nistune, 550's, Z32 and one of grunters 044's. Would I be better off with ~14psi and E85 or ~18psi and BP ultimate?
