hey guys pulled the old diff out this afternoon to make way for the 9 inch and began bolting it in. im going to leave the old springs and shocks in untill i get the wheels for the car to see how much room ive got to play with when it comes to lowering the rear. ive run into a problem with the diff head that the diff came with as its stuffed. i was planing on useing it until i got another head built up but will have to do it now unfortunately like everything on this car it never seems to go to plan. heres another picture i took the other day it looks like a real sleeper from the outside apart from the noise it makes youd never know whats under the bonnet. i have also got the bonnet on now since i took this picture. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hey guys been hard at work this weekend the diff is all bolted up just waiting for the head which im hopeing to get back either wednesday or thursday with spool and new gear set . once i get it back ill then look at makeing the driveshaft fit to get it mobile again cant wait. ive been busy doing alot of painting this weekend the diff and all the arms have been given a coat of black aswell as the interior after removing the carpet a while ago i scraped all the sound deadening off so it was looking rather rough so ive give it a coat of black aswell from fire wall to rear firewall. ive also been busy sealing up the rear fire wall and parcel tray for the cert . just have to finish the parcel tray off now then ill paint that aswell.once thats done i can put the carpet back in and start putting the dash back in just to make it tidy again on the inside. ill put up pics of the diff once i get it back on the ground , it looks real staunch from the rear Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hey guys the diff is all done now just got to sort out the driveshaft to get it mobile again hopefully ill sort it tomorrow night. decided to put all the interior back in on the weekend so its starting to actually look like a car now. originaly the plan was to leave the interior all striped out and put an aluminum dash in but ive changed my mind and am just going to change it up a bit but ill leave that to last for now. next thing on the list to do will be the brakes Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hey guys i brought a pair of these seats today for the car there similar to the ones in my old car except these are the fixed back versions they hold you in the seat alot better than the other ones.ive fitted the drivers seat just temporary for now going to have to do a bit of work to make them fit but shouldnt be as hard as the ones in the old car Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hey guys just an update the seats are all in now they sit a bit higher than expectd but ohwell at least there mounted properly now .ended up using the factory mounts and modifying them to fit the passenger seat required a bit of work to get it to fit but the drivers seat was prety straight forward. heres a few pictures of the engine bay youll just have to ignore the bar ive got holding up the bonnet as i havent put gas stays on it yet.the air filters on and the oil catch can is aswell also the overflow bottle too. thats about it on the engine bay for now apart from some gas stays i may also look at putting a turbo beanie on it aswell at a later stage as for the next step im taking it into my dads work so we can put it up on the hoist to do the driveshaft hoops for the certing and while its there ill do the front brakes aswell Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hey everyone just an update , have had the car at my dads work for a week or so . while it was there we made the driveshaft hoops for the cert and put a set of slotted rotors and a set of vs calipers just got to give them a bit of a paint. the old 14 inch wheels that i had on the car no longer fit over the front brakes so its now rolling on the 15 inch steelies. they look alot better than the ugly 14s its got. next step is to get some wheels on it any suggestions you guys have would be much appreciated. i was looking at putting a set of weld racing wheels on it but they dont do them to fit the commodore only the hq. i know theres not much difference in stud paterns between the hq and commodore so there might be a way to make them fit. other than that il look at a set of 17s or 18s i just need to find a set i like so yeah guys let me know if you have any suggestions
