I would not wish the hassles and dangers of modified car ownership on anyone, friend.

That's just irresponsible. Do you know how many thousands of those they built? They might be a collectors item one day and you're carelessly defacing and violating one? There is so much evil in this world...

He's working overtime man!
I dropped it off to him to have the clearance issue between the booster and the plenum fixed, and a dump pipe made. The intake side of things is all dandy and we rolled the car onto the hoist yesterday so that ol' Manfony could tackle the dump pipe

Tah dude, it'll be good once it's all together. I don't mind the rims either, I think they'll look better when the car is clean and when the tyres are red walled. Still have to get a set of AMEs...it's the law
Car left Anthony's yesterday on the back of the Sydney Vehicle Transport flat bed just about ready to rock and roll. There's nothing standing in the way of it starting now, however we haven't tried kicking it over and running it for an extended period of time.
Car is currently at City Sunroofs in Milperra getting the new, top of the line Hollandia roof installed. Not long left now!
There's been a bit of delay.
I went down to talk with the City Sunroofs guys today about the sunroof install and the more we talked, the more I resigned myself to the fact that the VL won't be on the road for a while yet.
The roof has to be modified to suit the sunroof the guys want to put in which means a turret respray, so if we were going to have to respray the roof anyway the boys suggested that we roll the edges on the sunroof instead of having a rubber bead - a nicer way of installing a sunroof, they say. I was down for that so work will start next week on the mammoth job that's going to be filling the gaping hole in the roof.
The plan of attack now looks like this:
City Sunroofs cut and repair roof and install sunroof mechanism.
Car goes back to 2SUS for turret respray, side moulds, stickers and pinstriping.
Car then goes back to City Sunroofs to have the sunroof installed, the rooflining strung and all that sh|t looked after.
Cue theme music: 'Neverending Story'. Another day another few thousand dollars, right?

The plan from the outset was to make a sunroof to suit the hole that was already cut, thus saving a bit of ****ing around. That's no longer an option though, unfortunately. Like I said it's for the best as it gives me a few weeks to recover financially and we'll end up with a better product for it. The extra time spent off the road will easily be made up for one Friday night when we gate it from one end of George Street to the other...
Bad luck man, that sort of shit seems to happen all the time, people tell you one thing then when you go to do it they tell you another thing. Will look heaps nicer without the rubber surround though

I agree man. I was disheartened as the City Sunroofs boys were talking me through the process, but as you said, it's going to look better.
Speaking of Parklife and money Jack, do you want to set up a payment plan? That tab you had me keep is fair mackin but I know you're good for it...
