cheers dude. i got the car back from Boostworx today it made 175kw on 12 psi so pretty much the same power but its alot smoother to drive now with the z32 AFM. the car will be staying this way until i get a stronger trans because i dont wanna push the standard one to much further then maybe a turbo upgrade then crack the 200kw mark. i also have a diagram of how the z32 AFM needs to be wired up to the vl plug if anyone is keen i can pm it. cheers

well i have had it back for while now and enjoying driving it the trans is great nice firm fast shifts and the ding in the rear quarter is perfect ya cant even tell it was there. all i have planned for it is to remove the injectors and get them serviced because 2 of them are leaking but apart from that just keep tidying little things up nothing to major for a while i just want to keep enjoying it.

Yeah there awesome and not that expensive either considering how much longer it should last compared to a normal battery.

Yeah im gonna get the radiator flushed and tested then go for a decent drive. The rad cap staying cold when the engine is at running temp cant be right.

Thanks alot mate. Its Gun metal grey just a mix i liked out of a book. Got the radiator back from being reconditioned its all fitted but i have to re-tap the bottom bleed bolt thread as it stripped out so ill get onto that in the next day or so then register it. Cant wait to drive it again.

hey mate yeah all went well with getting the car back on the road but i noticed it detonate a few times when i hit boost and its just gotten worse as it started out doing it just every now and then but now when ever i plant my foot it detonates so im thinking of putting some cooler plugs in when i service it today or tomorrow and possibly take it to a different tuner if the problem is still there. it was running perfect a few months ago before i went overseas but when ever i get it tuned with my current tuner it always has a problem somewhere either hitting boost or cold starts are **** ive given him more than enough attempts at getting it right but im just not seeing the results i want. i don't expect to see huge power but just want a fairly quick but reliable daily that i can fire up in the morning and not have a problem and if i want to give it a bit of crap i can. in the next month or so i will be getting the rust around the windscreen removed and the roof resprayed at the same time as there is a small ding in the roof which isn't that noticeable unless its pointed out but it annoys me and the wheel arches in the bay will get smoothed and painted at the same time. im also going to start piecing together good condition dash pieces to get sprayed the standard beige colour to replace my dash aswell as replace the carpet.

Hey bud long time no see. Did spot your wagon the other day somewhere my mrs pointed it out. What coil are you running ? Also how much boost ? Should be able to run standard ignition system up to 20ish psi on e85 no dramas

i have a coil out of a new ford cant remember what model probably fg or something like that it looks pretty much the same as the vl coil. 13ish psi i reckon just because it breaks down when on boost drives great otherwise. i reckon it only needs the new plugs and to be gapped. ive been meaning to change the plugs for weeks now but i only drive it every now and then and those plugs are a real pain in the ass to change. what size gap would you recommend im pretty sure he said try a .6 or .5 gap annoying that he didnt just try it instead just said to get a new ignition system even though he knows im not going for huge power.

Try a BKR7E at .8mm and if you're still having issues put an ignition booster on it like a MSD 6AL or similar
