Could be a good starting point that one, but I dont know how people expect to get a decent $ figure if they dont include much info in the ad - this seller seems to be more worried bout selling the mags on the wagon.

Thanks Brandon. Yep, it was for sale on Ebay back in 2006, probably to the guy who's selling it now.

looks like a cheap car to start with, but i want a turbo one
Hey guys my mate has a genuine A9Y Calais wagon. He is a member on here but I'm not sure if he is on the register. I'll ask him when I see him and get his permission to put it on here.
It's Blue NA auto. (soon to be converted to manual) It was sold in Adelaide new and is still located here. He bought it in 2003 as a write off and spent mega bucks on repairing it for the fact he loves wagons and that it was a genuine Calais. It's been repainted in a custom purple/blue with a bodykit.
P.S. I'm pretty sure his is built May 88, making his the newest known. I'll try and visit him today and get details.

Yep, I'm patiently sitting here waiting for you to send them through Chloe.
I can't think that far ahead but it'd be good to see the only two known blue turbo's together. Maybe by that time I can throw in a freshly painted red one just to mix it up a bit. Probably a bit too stock for Summernats though.

Thanks John. Another new one for the list. If your mate is okay with it post up some photo's when you get a chance.
The Port Augusta car is #280277 so it was probably built right next to yours on the same day.

52. That one has been the only new addition for a while now. Lots of cars already listed popping up again for sale of late.
It's still far better than the number I ever thought we'd come up with.
Thats the way Brandon.
The main reason I started this was to give the wagon owners a bit more cred next to all the limited build HDT's and HSV's.
Still, it'd be interesting to get to the bottom of the HDT Calais wagon story too as I still think they're even rarer again than the A9Y's. The problem is proving it. You'd have to think HDT would have had a record of non-tagged cars they modified and sent out to dealers, or even worked carried out on behalf of Holden, somewhere.

i found a dude that worked at the dealership as a mechanic and was doing pre deliverys on the vl's where mine came from and he said that their workshop never did and conversions to a calais spec in any wagons in there workshop but did remember doing some work for hdt like fitting the heads exhaust and stuff like that when hdt were to busy
i have a small article on hdt cars that came as wagon il see if i can find it
