In my experience they are not very good regulators, they don't add the correct fuel pressure for their calibration, often drop pressure at higher rpm, and generally don't work the way a good reg should. This also goes along with what a lot of proffesional tuners have given me feedback over the years about them.

Touch wood i havent had any problems with mine, but alot of "pros" have told me to change it.. as Kyle mentioned.
LOL.... I heard that the turbosmart fuel regs been recalled ? anyone else confirm that **** ?
Hope my malpassi lives upto the task.
Kyle with cols old setup.. how many additional injectors did u use to make 310rwhp ? and was that 2xvlt pumps ?
No extra injectors, no extra pumps. Was complete standard fuel system, no mods, no replacements, just the malpassi. Some/many have called bullsh it about th epower figure, but i can 100% verify that it certainly went like it had that much power, my falcon had 500rwhp at the time, and it felt fast in the passenger seat of col's car still. The trick is the AFM in the intercooler pipe. Don't ask my how or why, but it makes the AFR almost perfect, and flows a lot more fuel. Worked beautifully.

I reckon that would be around its limits for a stock fuel system!!!
I can back you up on the power of stock fuel system and injectors... I made the same power although i put a aftermarket ecu JUST to be safe.... Also with a Malpassi..
whats a good brand of reg then?
I have been told with my car that i could put the stock reg back on cos the malpassi is backed all the way off.
I have a 044, 10mm feed fuel line and 660cc injectors
just thought id chuck up some pics of Kyle's turbo/manifold package
(not sure if ive posted some of these before)
the manifold actually caught fire when my mechanic was driving it (split power steering hose) but luckily i have a fire extinguisher and he saved my car! everything cleaned up nice as except for my bonnet :(

So don't be a snob, what power did the thing make??!!!! And hows it go!

As for reg, I'd recommend Magnafuel, they are brilliant qaulity, and a good price. The 800hp street reg is fully rebuildable, and around $280.

haha, it only made 326rwhp at 18psi and something like 2800nm of torque. that was the best reading it got because it was smoking on the dyno. the motor is built to handle alot of punishment but with more boost i dont think it will drive on the street. it already smokes as soon as you start to make boost...
will have to wait until later in the year to race it - brakes, diff and cage definatly needed!
I'd say its pretty good power for that boost level, not everyone uses high reading dyno's. Grant, andy and colins cars all make between 320 and 350rwhp on 18psi, Colin and Andy both have KEAS boxes and and have both run 124MPH with 390rwhp, andy run a 10.8 on his pass.
Definate 10 sec combination mate, I'd say around 22-23psi and some tolulene just to be safe and it will walk it in, don't fuss yourself with dyno figures, they are and always have been a TUNING tool, not a true indictaion of hp, the big black dyno is the best one of those;o)

HAve you raced your car yet Hilly?? I though I heard something about you going out, although that may have been before you did that last lot of work. And also remember that a KEas Auto has been measured a few times now when chaging from a manual to lose between 38 and 43rwkw. your car is manual.
