I prob won't take it to powerplay
Only got the head back yesterday, now we have to check all the clearances again as it was faced
The motor owes me a bit so I'm not rushing it just to make an event
I'll just have to wait till the 4 day
But I'll have it at the track in less than a month hopefully
It will be at Graham's dyno day tho

Troy how much did they face the head, just a few tho?, if so you must have fckall piston to valve to start with, if your worried about that...........

Yeah it was only very lightly skimmed
It's mainly to see what head gasket we can use
The pistons sit roughly 13 thou above the deck
A .3mm na gasket is to thin and the tt gasket is 1.3mm which is heaps
Clearance before was around 4+mm I think so it's not going to hit anything
We want about 100thou minimum piston to valve clearance from memory
Compression should be pretty high which will work well
I actually paid my entry to powerplay on Friday morning then got a call about 30mins later saying the head wouldn't be ready
If it was ready last Friday then it would prob hav made powerplay

ill bet it doesnt even make graham's dyno day lol. you will have something not back or done in time. you would be better off keeping a standed 2j with bolt ons then at least you can drive it.

I've got 2 spare motors here
A std motor won't handle my turbo all in
This motor might not even handle my turbo all in
The eagles are the weak link

What power are you expecting? If your tune is good, your rods should be alright (assuming thats what you mean by eagles).

It "should" go well over 900 but we should be able to keep the revs to 8000-8200 which will help a lot
The tune will be very good
Plus at those power levels it will b on united e85
The eagles should hold 1000-1100rwhp

Yeah sounds like a bit of a weapon, the 78mm turbo depending on your turbine diameter shouldnt break a sweat at 900

Yeah I've driven it a bit
Nowhere near enough tho
The turbine is only a gt45 turbine which is 87/80 but it's a 1.28 and 5" exhaust so back pressure shouldn't be a problem

Eagle won't slow you down, its the rod bolts. Eagle rate their rods based on the rod bolts.

Yeah there just the std bolt which they rate to 1500hp so 250hp per cylinder
I was going to look into better bolts but then was just going to put some bc625 rods in it
Just missed out on a set of Carrillo and Carr bolts rods for around 800us aswell

Just don't rev it so hard.
Bolt the wastegates closed and go for it.
