Looks good man - how have they done the edge that tucks around into the front windscreen channel ? (the factory one had little metal fingers that ran all the way down)

I don't think any late model Commodore rear seats will fit in a VL without serious modification. Every series of Commodore since the VL has gotten wider and wider. It can be done - you just need to find someone that can do it for you. Wouldn't imagine it would be cheap either. Trimmers can rebolster and reshape seats pretty easily, you should ask around and see what could be done for ya with your original seats.

You use the VL base.....and get the interior people to fit the VT stuff onto the VL base etc.....was speaking to a guy on here who has done it...apparently its not a hard job to do Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

It is not the metal spring like retainer(windscreen lace) the courses the rust,Water is.Becouse it was not sealed correctly(remember these were the first of the bonded screens) It is becouse some of the practices,of the old days was not good enough. The windscreen lace is required to hold the screen out of the body so the car can flex.If is is not sealed correctly it will rust, lace or no lace. But I really would put a lace in the car. Cheers Marty

Your the first person ive herd say that........every other pannel beater ive spoken to and even blackwells old me that its the small metal loops attatched to the windscreen rubber.........a few aussie boys ive spoken to have said the same thing to me when i have asked in the past ????? The universal seal like Mikes wagon looks cool I reckon and does the same thing Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The only way it can rust is IF water gets in,As I said crap seal with lace or no lace it will rust,Remember the back window rusts as well and that does not have a lace.I spent big money getting things right and the lace was there for a reason.Hence it went back in,It needs it if you want it to look right.Or go for the rubber seal. Cheers Marty

with the VT rear seat, as aaron said for the base u use and it needs to be trimmed down i think about 10-15cm to suit with the top part u trim down the middle cushion I bought mine already done but from looking at them thats how they've been done With the fronts, VL rails need to be welded on as VT rails dont bolt off
