Awesome thread. I have been looking for all of this information for ages. Well i was originally considering taking them into a place near Brisbane. I was quoted $35 per wheel and the rubber didn't need to come off. SO it sounds like a bargain. But having a casual job at super cheap and all of the discounts, i might try this out on the spare calais rim to see how it works.
Cheers guys
By the way, the name of the company is Clean Image Alloy Polishing in Clontarf. I finish exms soon so i will give it a try and post some photos
Anybody used blitz aluminium cleaner on there wheels before they have polished them? It cleans my bike engine up pretty well but kind of takes the shine off.

VN Berlina's came with hubcaps so i hope you're not trying to polish them, if you meant VN calais wheels then you can use vl calais centre caps.
got my vs caprice wheels polished at advanced metal polishing in dandy
they came up real good
$40 each rim

160 bux,
my calamari rims were 80 (and i made it 100 for him)
you won't get the materials for that, and if you do, you won't make them look that good
btw, careful of that NSW list i put up...
i think i mixed some sydney male escort numbers in there

I profer to use the orby at the start, becasue it leaves you with a smoother and more shinier finish. saves a **** load of time aswell.
gonna have a crack at this during the week
will post results up. Hopefully i can get them to come up as good as whats been shown in the thread

I've noticed a few photo's on here show that the rim has been sanded really well on the face but the edges and lip seem to be untouched.
I think i have spent around 7-8 hours per rim wet sanding mine by hand all the way to where the rim meets the tyre and then another hour polishing each and trust me it is worth it and the result will be much better if you put in the same effort to get a near perfect finish all over.
when i took mine down to advance metal polishing, they had gutter rash on them... when i got them back, he had removed it all, and polished right upto the lip, the scallops aint polished, but thats how i like them
Bro dis is a great thread with many vaild comments although your boys missed something, i tried the othr day to use extra virgin olive oil to finish the wheels..... browww its ****ing hectic like glows bro. try it out bro

hi all, i have a few questions regarding the polish.
1) are people using the polishing compound blocks or more of the liquid/paste such as purple polish autosol?
2) i have the drill adaptor for a polishing mop, where are people purchasing the mops from, cant seem to find any.
3) if people are using an electric polisher, how are they finding it, im unsure whether to buy a polisher just for the wheels.
Thanks
